TEAMS: Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets
Trade rumors have been flying around the Celtics for weeks, from DeMarcus Cousins, to Tyreke Evans, to Rudy Gay. But they've quieted as the team has ripped off six straight wins, four of them against quality Eastern Conference competition. Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe caught up with Celtics boss Danny Ainge to discuss the state of the team, and Ainge was pretty direct when talking about making a move. From the article (link).
I think over the next five weeks a lot will be told. I feel like we don’t have any glaring needs when we’re playing the way we’re playing. Everyone’s playing their role; whether they’re playing well all the time is not as much of a point if they are accepting a role and giving an honest day’s worth of work.
We just need to keep flexibility in case something does happen. Right now we don’t have a real need and we have players like Jason Collins and Leandro Barbosa who we really like and are hardly playing, so I don’t really see a need to bring someon...

Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, and the Celtics winning streak
Remember when the Celtics were on a four game losing streak at the start of the new year, losing three of four by more than fifteen points? And when Avery Bradley’s return against Memphis meant little to the final score?
Me neither.
The Celtics have rattled off 6 straight wins, and they are 6-1 with Avery Bradley back in the starting lineup. They started the streak with a manhandling...
Kevin Garnett: The most well rounded player in NBA history
Kevin Garnett is on the precipice on joining a very exclusive club. A club so exclusive in fact, that when he joins it, he will be it's only member.
With 32 more assists, Garnett will pass Sleepy Floyd for 50th on the NBA's all-time assist leader board (5,144). This is important, because Garnett already ranks in the top 50 in rebounds (12th - 13,566), points (17th - 24...
Report: Celtics taking a look at Greg Oden
See, who says Danny Ainge doesn't read CelticsLife? When rumors about Greg Oden's possible return to the NBA surfaced, I implored Ainge to take a look at the former Buckeye and Trailblazer (link). Why? Well under the simple premise that 25 year old 7 footers who have put up great rate stats and are willing to possibly accept the league minimum do not exactly grow on trees...

Recap: Celtics offense disintegrates in awful loss to Hornets
The 6 game winning streak was fun while it lasted. Tonight the Celtics treated us to one of those mind-numbing, head-shaking, go-through-the-motion performances we’ve come to hate, yet accept. The result: a 90-78 loss to the Hornets.
The Celtics managed just 78 points vs one of the league’s worst defenses. I don’t have a shot chart, but they took A LOT of jumpers. Here’s...
Good enough: Boston Celtics beat Charlotte Bobcats 100-89
The Celtics don’t blow bad teams away.We know this by now. It has been the case since 2008 when the Hawks inexplicably took the Celtics to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. For whatever reason, whether it be motivation or something else, Boston just doesn’t blow out very many teams. Instead, they grind things out, lose a few games that they shouldn’t lose, and...

Even Carmelo Anthony's fans are now getting clowned by Celtics
Would be funnier if it was the real Carmelo Anthony, but it's pretty wild nonetheless. If you don't speak Twitter, basically a Knicks fan by the name of Matthew Shin, aka @Melo4MVP, put out a tweet saying if if Knicks fans retweeted it 2000 times he'd smack Jeff Green in the face at the next Celtics/Knicks game. Jeff Green responded (as he often does to people who say...

Celtics-Hornets Live: Doc Rivers, Austin Rivers Meet for Family Reunion at TD Garden
12 p.m. ET: It is safe to say that Austin Rivers never envisioned his rookie year being like this. The New Orleans combo guard has had one of the roughest first seasons in memory for a lottery pick, averaging 6.2 points per game while shooting just 32.8 percent from the field. The 10th pick in the June draft has scored one whole point in his last five games and has made only three...

Here we see MKG and Rondo in a push-up contest. MKG was the winner, completing 103 push-ups.
Recently the Bobcats effort has been...lacking to say the least. But have no fear! Up until this point, the Cats are 1-0 when I write the recap.  You're welcome guys. Would the Bobcats come out of the Garden with a W? Keep reading to find out...

Hornets-Celtics Preview
It can't be easy for Doc Rivers to see his son struggle as a 20-year-old rookie in the NBA, but Austin Rivers' recent woes may make Wednesday night a bit less confusing for the Boston Celtics coach.
The New Orleans Hornets guard has been seeing limited minutes heading into his first matchup with his father's team, which is going for its seventh consecutive victory.
