Found February 19, 2013 on Celtics Life:
Some he said/she said stuff with less than two days to go before the trade deadline. Here's Danny Ainge: I’m not trading Rajon Rondo away for discounted dollars because he’s hurt. We collectively as an organization have decided not to do that. And now Chris Broussard: Sources say Boston willing to trade injured PG Rajon Rondo in right deal. For one reason or another a lot of fans dislike Broussard and think he makes stuff up, but personally I believe what he's saying. Ainge has been shopping Rondo for YEARS. For the "right deal" he'd 100% trade him. Now Ainge saying he's not shopping Rondo doesn't really mean much as every GM always denies shopping their stars. Maybe Ainge has decided not to shop Rondo this deadline (probably because due to the ACL tear he could only get 50 cents on the dollar), but don't just dismiss the possibility because Ainge says so. I'd be shocked if Ainge traded Rondo this week. No one ever gives up good value for in...

Video: Recapping the Celtics' pre-All-Star game run without Rajon Rondo

As the trade deadline looms, the Celtics' future is uncertain. In the wake of Rajon Rondo's ACL tear and the announcement that he would be done for the season, many presumed that the Celtics were done for the season. Many said the team should blow it up and start to rebuild. Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was not among those doubters. Rivers said to the media in a...

Celtics Rumors: Rajon Rondo available

Despite the injury, the Boston Celtics have made Rajon Rondo available for trade.  However, a deal is unlikely.  If the team were to get anything done, it would probably have to be after the season.  Right now, Rondo is rehabbing from a torn ACL. According to ESPN Boston, if the Celtics received an offer for Rondo, they would not immediately turn it down.  It's not beyond...

Report: Danny Ainge Says It’s ‘Unlikely’ Celtics Swing Deal Before NBA Trade Deadline

For the Celtics fans nervously counting down the minutes until the NBA trade deadline, holding out hope that Paul Pierce and friends remain in Boston for the rest of this season, there’s hope. With time running out, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge says the chances of a deal are small, Baxter Holmes of The Boston Globe reports. Ainge said its unlikely that...

Boston Celtics willing to trade Rajon Rondo if the deal is good enough

No one is untouchable on the Boston Celtics ... even Rajon Rondo. The Celtics star point guard, who is recovering from season-ending ACL surgery, is available if the price is right, ESPN's Chris Broussard reported. This makes sense if Boston is serious about acquiring Los Angeles Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe, who has been discussed as the potential centerpiece of a deal...

Afternoon Delight: Immediate Opening

The trade deadline netted Jordan Crawford for the C's - who should add depth to the 1 and 2 voids created by the injuries to Rajon Rondo and Leandro Barbosa (now with the Wiz).  But many feel the Celts came up short at the deadline in trying to plug their hole(s) at the 5 - and most certainly adding a "big" would now be Boston's primary goal. The expected route...

Rondo's agent assured Rondo will not be traded

Agent for Rajon Rondo, Bill Duffy, tells USAT that Boston GM Danny Ainge assured him today the Celtics PG won't be traded. Story to come. — Sam Amick (@sam_amick) February 20, 2013 Another update in a crazy time before the trade deadline, this new information seems to be pretty plausible. Rondo is currently out with a season-ending injury, so his value would not be very high...

Ainge Admits Increased Trade Activity But Doesn't Expect Celtics To Find Trade

Danny Ainge admitted that there have been more conversations involving the Celtics than in previous seasons.

Ainge is pissed at opposing GM's with loose lips

Boston Herald: But the Celtics leader was upset that the allegedly private conversations had been revealed. “Hogwash,” was his initial response. “You know what? I don’t comment on any trade rumors at all. It doesn’t do me any good to make any comments at all.” Reminded that each report had come in perspective, with the Celts asking more than a Rondo’s ransom, Ainge...

Report: Celtics Sign Former Lottery Pick, Louisville Star Terrence Williams

Terrence Williams, a former lottery pick and standout player at Louisville, is back in the NBA. Multiple reports stated Monday that the Celtics signed Williams to add depth to their bench, which has been decimated by injuries. Williams gives the Celtics 11 healthy players, rounding out a roster that was in a precarious position after the season-ending injuries to Rajon Rondo, Jared...

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Turning Back the Clock to Keep Celtics Contending Without Rajon Rondo

Kevin Garnett didn’t exactly make the dramatic All-Star game exit many Celtics fans had been hoping for when he cryptically leaked last week that this would be his last appearance in the event. He did take the floor as the starting center for the Eastern Conference, however, fulfilling his due diligence in the lineup and saluting the fans. The big man does, after all, have a surging...

Jeff Green Helps Celtics Work Past Injuries to Rajon Rondo, Jared Sullinger, Leandro Barbosa

The Boston Celtics have thrived amid adversity this season, relying on the one-two punch of veterans Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to beat the prevailing NBA odds and prove that their window of opportunity for another championship hasn’t closed just yet. But they haven’t been doing it alone — 26-year-old Jeff Green has been a big part of their success lately. While season-ending...

Toolson joins Cougar basketball

On Tuesday, BYU basketball head coach Dave Rose received a commitment from a young man with a last name that’s familiar to BYU fans. Jake Toolson from Highland High School in Arizona gave his word that he would sign at BYU and follow in the footsteps of family members Danny Ainge and Andy Toolson.

Celtics fall to Nuggets 97-90, as the season's second half tips off

T-40 hours until the NBA's trade deadline, and in case you haven't noticed - there are a few Celtics related rumors floating around. And by a few, I mean a million (CelticsLife has all the latest trade buzz for you right here). However, the games do not end while GM's across the league ponder their team's future, and for the Celtics, their Rondo-less journey continued...

Josh Smith For Paul Pierce?

Tough tough decisions for Danny Ainge up in Boston. There were offers on the table for KG, more specifically: DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe from the Clippers. But the thing is with Garnett, he’s got a No Trade clause in his contract. No unless he’s willing to go, he can’t be traded. And we already have KG on record saying he “bleeds green.” Well now Josh Smith is on the...
