Rubio

Let’s get ready for some Udoh ball! Seriously though I am happy that Udoh will be getting a decent amount of minutes. The kid has earned them with his defense. The part of his game that must improve is his rebounding. His defense at times takes him out of position rebounding wise and he must find a balance between the two. Once he comes down from his block attempt he has to turn and find the ball. Currently it looks like he is just turning and finding a player to box out and by the time he’s got that he misses the rebound. Basically, Udoh needs to attack the ball not wait for the rebound.

I wish I could say I think the Warriors will miss Andris but alas they will not. He looked good early in the game last night before the injury but I am also smart enough to know he would have gone back to his old crummy basketball playing ways the next game. This injury will keep him out of the 4 game road trip but it could cost him a lot more time. If Udoh looks good Andris may find himself riding the pine for good when he gets back. Never good to get hurt when a rookie is already nipping at your heels.

Warrior fans cross your fingers and hope Udoh starts to get better because if he doesn’t, passing on Greg Monroe will start to sit in our collective craw a little bit. Right now I like Udoh because he is a defender, which is what the Warriors need, and Monroe is more of a scorer. But if Udoh doesn’t rebound and Monroe is already a double double machine it’s going to make that pick look real bad. So come on Udoh, show us what you’ve got!
