The low blows all started when the Carmelo Anthony got hit there but that can’t compare to what happened to Juan Carlos Navarro of Spain. With the game winding now France’s Nicolas Batum decided to do a full out punch to Navarro’s groin region. That’s not cool.
Here is what Batum told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
“I wanted to give him a good reason to flop,” Batum said.
Batum also leader apologize on Twitter.
I want to apologize for my stupid act at the end, I showed a bad image of France and myself, Congrats to team Spain.
Argentina is on its way to the semifinals for the third consecutive Olympics. They defeated South American rival Brazil 82-77 to advance on. Now they will play the USA for the third team in a couple of weeks. However, the highlight of the game goes to Leandro Barbosa of Brazil.
Late in the 4th quarter Barbosa put on a nasty crossover that left Andres Nocioni failing to the ground. Barbosa stepped back a calmly nailed the three pointer. Ch...

Batum did what!?
The Portland Trail Blazers created a culture of well-mannered community members following the Jail Blazers era in the early-2000s, and as a result, the team has lacked that certain edge that it takes to compete with the best of the best year in and year out.
Nicolas Batum has probably never been called edgy in his life, but the Olympics have seemingly brought out...
In a matter of minutes, Nicolas Batum went from frustrated, to defeated, to scorned on Twitter, to apologetic on Wednesday night.
But he can't escape the footage from the 2012 Olympics in London.
With 24 seconds left in France's quarterfinal game against Spain, Batum went to foul Juan Carlos Navarro and essentially used a closed fist to give Navarro a low...
Meet Nicolas Batum a member of the French Basketball team and the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers. He wasn't very nice earlier today when he punched Spain's Juan Carlos Navarro where the sun don't shine in the last minutes of their loss to the Spaniards 66-59. Talk about not taking a loss very well huh?
This isn't the first time a player has been...
By all accounts, Nicolas Batum is a classy fella. Until this week, anyway.
Chances are by now you’ve seen or at least heard about him taking a full on, close-fisted swing and connecting squarely with Juan Carlos Navarro’s man region.
The incident seemed very un-Nic… and that spells great news for the Portland Trail Blazers.
To recap, the Blazers just ponied up some big bucks...
Olympic Video: Nicolas Batum Hits Juan Carlos Navarro In Nuts. This was from yesterday’s France vs. Spain match up. I am going to file this under “You can not make this up. This was in no way an accident. Nicolas Batum takes a running go with one intent. That intent was simply to hit Juan [...]

And this here, folks, is why you shouldn’t be a flopper.
During the Olympic quarterfinal match-up between Spain and France, France’s Nicolas Batum ended up doing a not-so-nice move towards the end of the game, punching Spain’s Juan Carlos Navarro in the nuts.
So why did Batum do it?
I asked Nicolas Batum why he hit Juan-Carlos Navarro in the groin. “I wanted to give him...

France’s Nicholas Batum seems to have lost the Olympic spirit near the end of today’s loss to Spain because how else can you explain a guy drilling an opponent in the nuts? Never heard of Batum? The guy is only going to make $46 million over the next four years playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. Something tells us David Stern won’t be happy when he wakes up from his nap...
Did I miss something in the rules about international play in basketball? Is a shot to an opposing player’s “naughty bits” a legit foul? First Melo was popped in his manhood during a game and today, France’s Nic Batum took aim at Spain’s Juan Carlos Navarro’s jewels. The incident took place during the quarter finals [...]
First Carmelo Anthony was on the receiving end of a fist to the junk, and now this. But this nut shot, delivered by France’s Nic Batum to Spain’s Juan Carlos Navarro, is a lot more brutal and vicious than the one Anthony took, because Batum’s intentions were as clear and articulate as a fist to the groin can be.
The nasty incident occurred during Spain’s 66-59 win over...
Nic Batum took a swing at Juan Carlos Navarro’s crotch region and somehow got away with not being ejected. Check out the deliberate punch which was delivered in the 4th quarter of the quarterfinal matchup between France and Spain.

It was a "spirited" matchup between Team Spain and France as things got chippy in their quarterfinals contest.
However, "chippy" wouldn't be the right word to use. Perhaps the game was a flop-fest mainly from the Spaniards. Time after time, we saw Rudy Fernandez sell hits, other players flop which led to Team France's Nicolas Batum clocking Juan...
I know this isn't Celtics related, but it was too good not to share. In today's Olympic quarterfinal game between France and Spain, things got a little bit heated as France's Nicholas Batum hit Spain's Juan Carlos Navarro below the belt. As you can see, it wasn't accidental, either.
Now, that's not the best part, it was Batum's explanation for it afterwards...
France’s Nic Batum is the latest Olympian to target an opponent’s groin. This photo shows Batum punching Spain’s Juan Carlos Navarro below-the-belt in the closing seconds of today’s quarterfinal game.
Batum, who was not ejected, seemed proud of his actions. Here’s a tweet from Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
Finally, I asked Batum if he felt like his punch ultimately gave...
