Marc Spears is reporting that Paul Pierce is going to continue to stay in NBA playing shape by participating in more exhibition games. This time Pierce is heading south of the border to play in Charlotte Bobcats forward Eduardo Najera’s basketball games. PP will join Tyson Chandler, Trevor Ariza, Marcus Camby, DeAndre Jordan, Corey Maggette, Jerryd Bayless and Ryan Hollins in participating in the games. Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash has also been invited to play, but has not committed. The games are to try to bring positive attention to Mexico. The hopes are that it will help off set the negative press from the drug war that is ravaging the country.
The good news is Pierce is staying in shape. The better news is he is getting on the court with some solid competition even if it is only an exhibition.
