Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah recently suffered a setback in his recovery from plantar fasciitis and he’s unlikely to suit up tonight when the team takes on the Toronto Raptors, according to Aggrey Sam of CSN Chicago.Thibs: Jo had a setback— Aggrey Sam (@CSNBullsInsider) April 8, 2013 Noah has been batting the injury for some time, and he attempted to return for the team on Sunday. While he was able to contribute 13 points and seven rebounds, the forward aggravated his injury and coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters that it’s likely it will cause him to miss even more time.The only true treatment for plantar fasciitis is rest and immobilization of the ailing foot, so the more Noah continues to attempt to play on the injury, the longer it will take to heal. Rather than continue to have the forward attempt to return only to aggravate his foot, it would probably be best for Chicago to shelve him until the playoffs so he can recover more fully. This is something Thibodeau has indicated the Bulls are willing to do.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
