In the Celtics Minute, Doc and Jason Terry discuss the need for more consistency and for hard work to get the Celtics to where they want to be. Doc stressed the need for hard work, "Being a good team takes work. You don't just show up, and because you've got good names on paper, and be good." Doc closed today's practice with conditioning drills as part of 5-on-5 work. He wants the team to be better conditioned after the team seemed to fade and appear fatigued down the stretch of Saturday's game. Jet takes the fact that the Celtics bench has been outscored in the first 3 games on his own shoulders and vows to change that in the coming week. He also said that he's a scorer and will figure his shot out and said that he won't quit shooting. He also said that they can't be satisfied with the win in Washington because they allowed the Wizards to come back and almost win the game. He stressed that they have to play 48 minutes of Celtics basketball. The Celtics had a 2 hour practice this morning. Only Brandon Bass and Jason Terry talked to the media after practice. Rajon Rondo was among the last players out on the floor working on midrange jumpers, pulling up off the dribble. Avery Bradley was out there taking corner 3s. He also pulled Jared Sullinger aside to work on pick and roll drills. Brandon Bass moved to the second unit in the last game, allowing rookie Jared Sullinger to play with the starters. After practice, Brandon stressed that he's fine with whatever role he's asked to perform, whether it's starting or coming off the bench. Brandon Bass, who shifted to the reserve group with Sullinger starting in Washington, continues to stress that he's fine with whatever role he's asked to perform. He added that he's got to be more active and that he wants to improve his rebounding as well. [Discuss on CG Forums!]
