INDIANAPOLIS - APRIL 05: Head coach Brad Stevens of the Butler Bulldogs looks on in the first half while taking on the Duke Blue Devils during the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium on April 5, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brad Stevens isn't sure of his starting lineups, even for the first preseason game on Monday night against the Raptors. “I just told the guys, we’re going to be tinkering with lineups quite a bit. I don’t know what we’ll do in games 2, 3 and 4, but I’m guessing we will not start the same lineups. I’m guessing we will really shift things around. But he doesn’t have any real limitations. Obviously I think, the first game I probably won’t look to play guys extended, extended minutes.” Brad Stevens says that he may start a diff lineup for each preseason game. He says he'll use the preseason to evaluate player combinations. — Boston Celtics (@celtics) October 6, 2013 In practices, the lineups have been fluid with the coach experimenting with various lineups and combinations. Avery Bradley admitted that even he doesn't know who will get the call to start on Monday but he also isn't concerned about it. “We’ve been doing it in practice. So I feel like whatever lineup he throws out there we’ll be comfortable, because we’ve all been playing with each other.” One thing we know is that Jared Sullinger is ready to play in Monday's game. Sully has gotten past any fears about his back and is looking forward to being able to bang with someone other than his teammates. He admits that he's a bit behind with his conditioning but also feels that it is getting better every day. After practic, Sully also had some good things to say about Vitor Faverani. “He’s a really good shooter. Vitor can shoot the ball, and he likes to be physical. I remember in media day he said he likes to fight – well, that’s part of his fight, is being physical, rebounding, changing shots and just trying to get the bigs out of the paint.” I like. I like. I can't wait to watch him. Sully also had some good things to say about Kris Humphries, calling him a strong defender who can also move his feet. He credits going against Kris in practice with helping him to get back in game shape. After practice, he once again spent time on the stationary bike. After the practice session, Jeff Green and some others wanted some extra shooting practice and coach Stevens joined assistant coach Ronald Nored to chase rebounds and feed passes. Marc D'Amico of Celtics.com was impressed to see the coach rolling up his sleeves and working with the players. Today's the 1st time in 6 yrs of covering @NBA that I've seen a head coach (Brad Stevens) rebound/pass for player's post-practice workout. — Marc D'Amico (@Marc_DAmico) October 6, 2013 The Celtics did some half court work at the end of practice with Rondo looking on.  Rondo once again passed out the towels and bands and led the stretching session at the end of practice.  [Discuss on CG Forums!]
