NBA.com has published their first version of the Kia Rookie Ladder of the season and the Celtics impressive rookie, Kelly Olynyk tops the list.
Kelly Olynyk : BOSTON CELTICS
has been the most impressive rookie so far in Orlando. Through three
games, he's averaging 19.7 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 57.5
percent from the floor. He's done it in a variety of ways, too. When a
big has backed off, he's hit from outside. When his defender steps out
on him, he's been able to get to the rim with a quick first step and
nice moves in the paint. Looks like the C's knew what they were doing
with their Draft day trade.
Following the Big KO on the list are Mason Plumlee (Nets), Victor Oladipo (Magic), Michael Carter-Williams (76ers), Solomon Hill (Pacers), Ian Clark (Heat), James Ennis (Heat), Grant Jerrett (Thunder), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Pistons), and....
Phil Pressey : BOSTON CELTICS
going undrafted, Pressey is hoping to find a place as Rajon Rondo's
backup. Through three games, the Mizzou product is averaging 11.3 points
and 4.3 assists while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor. He'll need
to cut down on his turnovers (3.7 per game) if he wants to stick around,
but he's done just enough to land a bottom rung on the Ladder for now.

Not that anyone was planning on it anyway, but it might not be a good idea to rush out and buy a Gerald Wallace or Kris Kardashian Humphries jersey just yet.
The Celtics will look to trade both players, according to Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com. Wallace and Humphries, along with Kris Joseph, Keith Bogans and MarShon Brooks, were brought over from the Nets in the deal that sent Paul...
It doesn’t seem that long ago that the Boston Celtics landed Kevin Garnett from the Minnesota Timberwolves for a bevy of other players. The move catapulted the C’s from a league doormat to the top of the heap in the NBA, along with the signing of Ray Allen. Garnett and Allen formed a new Big 3 with Paul Pierce, and somewhat spurred a new trend in the NBA because of the immediate...
Summer league day 4 action today in Orlando as the Rockets knocked off the Celtics 85-78. I've now watched 240 minutes of Celtics summer league action over the past four days, and therefore I think if anyone has the ability to judge Tim Abromaitis and Phil Pressey, it's me.

A lot people — including their own top personnel man — seem to think the Celtics are not going to be very good next season. Three members of the Celtics’ young core are not among those people.
Speaking with reports at the Orlando Summer League, Jeff Green, Courtney Lee and Jared Sullinger bristled at talk of the Celtics “tanking” or “rebuilding” in the near future....

In less than 48 hours, the Celtics and Nets will finalize their mega-deal, and Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will officially be gone. It's going to be tough to see them go, but at the very least most Celtics fans understand the deal. Boston needs to rebuild, and picking up three first round picks in exchange for two guys on the wrong side of 35 is a good deal for the long term...

Purdue coach Micah Shrewsberry will join Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics, a source confirmed to Boiler Sports Report.
The news of Micah Shrewsberry's departure to the Boston Celtics surprised just about everybody in West Lafayette, but not head coach Matt Painter. Now, Purdue must move on without its ace recruiter. Painter can be creative in finding a replacement.
