According to the Boston Globe the Celtics now find themselves seeking a veteran point-guard with the departure of Keyon Dooling:“Meanwhile, Dooling informed the Celtics of his plans to retire and the club is now left without a primary backup point guard to Rajon Rondo. Dooling had also emerged as Rondo’s mentor. The Celtics wanted Dooling to return because of his steadiness and veteran presence. Now they are seeking a replacement just a week before training camp.Point guards on the free agent market include Derek Fisher, Jonny Flynn, Mike Bibby, and Carlos Arroyo.”To be honest, none of these guys excite me in the least because I’m not convinced any of them can run an offense. Fisher barely has anything left in the tank, Bibby even less, Jonny Flynn is a project, and Arroyo wasn’t great the last time we signed him. Out of that group I’d probably take Mike Bibby, and I definitely wouldn’t like it. All the better for Dionte Christmas, who showed flashes of passing ability during summe...

Dooling’s agent shoots down Miami rumor… sorta
The agent for Keyon Dooling is refuting reports that his client is interested in joining the Miami Heat (courtesy ESPN Boston’s Chris Forsberg):

Random Thoughts on Darko and Dooling
It was a busy day for the Celtics. First they signed Darko Milicic and then they reported that Keyon Dooling has decided to retire. The Darko signing came up quickly, but it wasn't really a surprise because there were rumors that Danny had called him when the Wolves first waived him. The Dooling retirement came out of nowhere though.
My first thought was whether...

Keyon Dooling, who announced his retirement, reportedly wants to play for the Miami Heat
When the Boston Celtics waived Jermaine O’Neal last season, he was rumored to have interest in joining the Miami Heat. Only one minor problem existed within that theory: O’Neal had suffered a season-ending injury and wasn’t well enough to return to the basketball court for the season’s remainder. So when noise arised that Keyon Dooling now has interest in joining the Heat...

MIAMI So much for Keyon Dooling wanting to join the Miami Heat.
The Orlando Sentinel had reported Saturday word was the point guard, who had been waived by Boston on Friday with the belief he would retire, had interest in the Heat. But the native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., denied that.

This raises some questions. First, is this legit or just a figment of the writer's imagination? If Keyon...
