Found September 09, 2013 on Red's Army:
Could Celtics starting point guard Rajon Rondo be following Kevin Garnett’s lead & signing with Anta? Rajon’s been signed with Nike for roughly the last four years, but a rumor that surfaced this weekend has him joining KG as an endorser for the Chinese sneaker brand. Garnett is currently in China promoting his fourth signature shoe with Anta, as well as celebrating signing a five-year extension with the company. Kevin was named as the captain of Anta’s new “Team Priceless” campaign last week. On the official site, there are silhouettes of the next four members of the team that will be revealed in the coming weeks. The second player definitely appears to be Luis Scola. It’s quite obvious from the picture, and makes sense as he already endorses Anta. But the most intriguing silhouette is the fifth and final one. There is no doubt in my mind that it’s this picture of Rondo. Could #9 be leaving Nike and becoming Anta’s next NBA athlete? Nike has yet to get RR his own signature shoe...

What to Expect From MarShon Brooks in 2013-14

Sloan Piva One of the most intriguing new additions to the Celtics roster, MarShon Brooks could be a delight to watch this season. The 24-year-old, previously drafted by the Celtics in 2011 then carelessly traded for JaJuan Johnson, could be here to stay now. He's young, he's cheap, he's quick and he does a lot of things well. He's got long arms, which helps on defense...

What to Expect From Kelly Olynyk in 2013-14

Tim MacLean (@TimMacLean_) Prior to the 2013 NBA Draft many people wondered whether or not Kelly Olynyk has what it takes to be an effective big man at the NBA level. Standing seven feet tall and weighing in at 238 pounds, Olynyk doesn’t possess the Herculean mass that you see in the majority of today’s post players. As a result, both scouts and GM’s around the league became...

Over the weekend the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn wrote about the rebuilding process facing Phoenix's new GM Ryan McDonough (left), whom the Suns hired away from Boston back in May.  Upon his arrival the first order of business for McDonough was to find a new Head Coach, with Jeff Hornacek (right) getting the nod.  Washburn's article states: “I heard great things...

According to Dime Magazine, Rondo is up for...

Do you forgive Rick Pitino?

On Sunday, Rick Pitino was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame. His induction had everything to do with his performance as a college coach, and absolutely nothing to do with his time with the Celtics. But that didn't stop Pitino from talking about the Cs for over five minutes. Here are some of the highlights, courtesy Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. Pitino devised...

Pitino: Celtics' Job Molded Me Into Coach I Wanted To Become

Rick Pitino is frequently maligned for the job he did during his tenure with the Boston Celtics. Pitino had a 102-146 record with the Celtics. “You know, I traded Chauncey Billups and then he was traded two more times," said Pitino. "And he eventually landed on his feet and became the point guard he knew he could be. Of all the stops I made, Boston probably molded me...
