Rajon Rondo, Celtics teammates all left off Team USA preliminary roster
It probably should not come as a surprise that Rajon Rondo — who either got cut from or left the USA men’s basketball team that participated in the 2010 World Championships after receiving a DNP under weird circumstances — failed to make the preliminary roster for the team that will compete in the 2012 London Olympics.
But Rondo and all his Celtics teammates...
Rajon Rondo's Scoring Outburst Signals That Celtics Are Already 'His Team' Despite Loss
There was a time when Rajon Rondo scoring 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting while hitting eight of his 12 free throw attempts would have been the greatest thing in the world, or at least the greatest thing in that little corner of the world that houses North Station. Back then, about two or three years ago, 24 points for Rondo would have meant just another 20-point scorer for the guys...
Kevin Garnett Speaks About the Boston Celtics Struggles
(Courtesy of Steven Cuce/Sports Radio Interview and WEEI) How disappointing was the loss to the Dallas Mavericks at home this week? “Any time you lose it is always disappointing. Nothing is good about losing. Obviously today we will watch the film and try to learn from it and apply that to Chicago and other games, [...]
Lurking Around Celtics Nation: the gauging struggles of KG
As Celtics fans know, Kevin Garnett has been oft discussed lately. Unfortunately, it’s not been a positive discussion and has divided Celtics Nation and left fans with the possibility of a very harsh reality– The Ticket may not be so big for the Celtics any more. CLNSRadio’s season-long post game coverage of every Celtics game [...]
Dooling questionable for Bulls game
ESPN Boston's Chris Forsberg updates the injury situation:
* O'Neal, Dooling sit out: Both starting center Jermaine O'Neal and backup guard Keyon Dooling did not participate in Thursday's 90-minute practice session due to knee ailments. Rivers said it was more of a rest day for O'Neal (who appeared to be hobbled by a bothersome hamstring or knee in Wednesday...
Doc Rivers says the Celtics are Rajon Rondo’s ‘team right now’
Boston's Ray Allen is having an incredible year, shooting nearly 56 percent from the floor and an astonishing (even for him) 63 percent from long range. He's missed just four free throws in 31 tries, while averaging 19 points per game.
Kevin Garnett is still dashing all over the place defensively, helping to hold together a Boston defense that is full of holes at this point...
Recap: C's comeback falls short
Pardon the super quick recap tonight, but aside from the third quarter, there wasn't a whole lot to talk about. The Celtics came out of the box frigid, missing some makeable shots but also looking old and slow.
They found the fountain of youth in the third quarter, hitting on 11 of 19 shots and outscoring the Bulls by 11. Mickael Pietrus' 3 with about 10 minutes...
Celtics drop nailbiter to Mavericks, 90-85
It was a frustrating night at the TD Garden tonight as the Celtics drop their second straight game, this time to the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, 90-85. In a game where Paul Pierce struggled and only took 5 shots and Ray Allen was only 3 of 8 from the field, Rajon Rondo tried mightily to [...]
Celtics Live Blog: Rajon Rondo Takes On Derrick Rose, Bulls in Battle of Elite Point Guards
7:45 p.m.: This is not the game to expect the Celtics to finally break out of their rebounding funk. The Celtics, who allowed 17 second-chance points to the Mavericks on Wednesday and are second-to-last in the NBA in overall rebounding, take on the best team in the league at keeping opponents off the glass. That's right. Bulls opponents average just 37.8 rebounds per game, the...
