Dictator David Stern and Dan Gilbert are at it again!

Cleveland Cavalier owner Dan Gilbert wrote an email to commissioner David Stern and a few other ownership peers in an attempt (successfully) to block the three team trade involving All Stars Chris Paul, Pao Gasol, and Lamar Odom.

Paul would have been sent to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Lakers would send Pao Gasol to the Houston Rockets and Lamar Odom to the New Orleans Hornets.  The Rockets would have reportedly sent Kelvin Martin, Luis Scala, and Goran Dragic to the Hornets to complete the player movement in the three team deal.

According to Yahoo! Sports in an email obtained by them, Gilbert asked the commissioner:

"When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?" See the complete email at Yahoo! Sports.

Ironically, this is the same Dan Gilbert that got loose on the Cleveland Cavalier fan website last year after LeBron James announced he was taking his talents to South Beach to play for the Miami Heat.

Dan called LeBron's action a "shameless display of selfishness" and a "heartless and callous" action.

Maybe Dan should worry more about his 19 win team from last year instead of worrying about legal, ethical moves that are allowable under the NEW collective bargaining agreement finalized TODAY.

Until Next Time,

Craig Turley
