With the NBA Draft just around the corner, one of the biggest busts in all of sports has called it a career in the Association.
According to FSD Detroit who cites a Serbian website, Darko Milicic has announced that his NBA career is in deed over.
The 7-foot Milicic, taken with the 2nd overall pick in 2003 by the Pistons was a complete flop from the beginning. With Detroit, the human victory cigar averaged just 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds in 2 1/2 seasons with the Pistons. After he was traded Milicic’s career still failed to get going spending his remaining NBA days between Orlando, Memphis, New York, Minnesota and Boston.
The Celtics would be his last NBA stop as Boston released Darko back in November after just one appearance.
And when it was all said and done for him, Milicic averaged just six points and four rebounds in 438 NBA games.
