In games 1 and 2 of the NBA 1st Round Playoffs, Doc Rivers has been hesitant to play deep into his bench. Playing a confusing 8-man rotation that, in game 1, didn't include any big men, Doc has said he expects a lift from his role players now that the Celtics have returned to Boston. We can expect that Doc may dig deeper into his bench. In a report issued by Jay King/Mass Live, Doc Rivers said that role players play better at home. It's Jay's opinion that Doc may pull more players off the pine to relieve his starters. I sure hope he does. Mid-way thru game 2, the CLNS authors group was a buzz with questions regarding Courtney Lee and his absence from the rotations. Doc opted for Jordan Crawford because he supplies more scoring punch. Rivers has been open about his affinity for Crawford's offensive abilities but did not rule out a return to rotation for Lee either.
