According to Comcast SportsNet New England, Celtics coach Doc Rivers will submit a video of the play that the refs ruled a jump ball against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night to the league. It was a game-altering play, as the Celtics were up by two points and what looked to be a foul on Paul Pierce was rules a jump ball by the refs, allowing the Bulls to regain possession and send the game into overtime, with the Bulls eventually becoming the victors.
"(Pierce) was fouled, there's no doubt about that," Rivers said prior to
Saturday's practice. "I also thought if you watch it, Rondo absolutely
called a timeout and it's clear. He was literally an inch away from Marc
Davis' face and did it twice. And then you can see Sean Corbin's hand
go up for a jumpball. So it was clear that, in my opinion, he was
fouled, number one. And number two, we got the timeout and it wasn't
called."
Doc also addressed the issue that ref Marc Davis, who was...

Rivers hints at possible changes after Celtics' loss
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Doc Rivers can't stand mediocrity. If his Boston Celtics don't shape up soon, he wants some of his players shipped out. Rivers, the Celtics' coach, was mortified by his team's third straight loss, a 103-88 thumping by the Detroit Pistons at The Palace on Sunday. His club never had a lead as it sank to .500 nearing the season's midway point...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

Pierce? He was a different story. You want someone to wear the goat horns in this one? He’s your guy. He was horrible all night from the floor (5-for-17), he was victimized like a callow rookie on arguably the...
Celtics-Pistons Live: Paul Pierce Aims to Shoot C’s Out of Slump in Detroit
8 a.m. ET: Two straight losses have given the Celtics reason to worry, so it may help to get away for a while. A two-game road trip against teams mired near the bottom of the standings therefore could be the perfect antidote.
Of course, an opponent that was overmatched on paper managed to halt the Celtics’ six-game winning streak, so the Pistons (14-25) should not be taken lightly...
Underrated Stat of the Night - Bulls 1/18
The Celtics have lost. This one really sucked. We had a lead with a few seconds left in both the fourth and in OT, yet we couldn't catch a break. Rondo played amazing: putting in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. Unfortunately, he fouled out mid-way through overtime. This one stings and I just want to move on, but I won't.
