Jason Terry is drawing interest from several teams. According to CBS Sports' Ken Berger, teams have been calling Boston GM Danny Ainge and "inquiring whether Boston is willing to trade Jason Terry to get under luxury tax." However, the Celtics "remain in wait-and-see mode and have not indicated a strong appetite to deal," Berger reported. Of course, that could change with the right offer and Boston's mounting injuries (Jared Sullinger and Rajon Rondo have both been lost for the season). Ainge: "I too would like to see Paul retire as a Celtic...Having said that"

Danny Ainge went on WEEI Thursday afternoon and had all the usual general managerish things to say about possible moves the Celtics could make, meaning he didn’t have much to say. I’m not entirely sure why people ask Danny Ainge, or any other general manager for that matter, questions about trades. Do people expect an honest answer? Do they expect him to say, “Oh yea, we’re...

Your Morning Dump… Where the Celtics WILL add two bodies (eventually)

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “We have two open roster spots, which we will use when it’s all said and done,” said Ainge. “So three weeks from now, we will have 13 contracts. But we’re not in a rush yet. We have trade possibilities...

What's your favorite Celtics' logo of all time?

Despite the legacy that the Boston Celtics carry with them as the league's franchise with the most championships and the fact that it wasn't until the middle of the 2000s where they brought about alternate road-jerseys, it may come as a surprise to fans today that they have possessed as many logos as they've had over the years.  Above is a breakdown of them. I will...

Rajon Rondo’s Torn ACL Could Force Celtics to Shuffle Players at Trade Deadline

For much of the 2012-13 season, it appeared as though the Boston Celtics might be able to hang on to their spot among the Eastern Conference’s elite, that no longer seems to be the case. Not on the NBA moneyline, at least, where their odds of winning the NBA championship have dipped to 30-1. This, we’ll remind you, is a team whose been a mainstay within the NBA futures’ top...

Boston Celtics Win Easy

The Celtics win easy going away 97-84 against the Orlando Magic. Paul Pierce had 14 points on 5-10 shooting with 11 rebounds and 7 assist. Jeff Green had 17 points with 3 blocks coming off the bench. The Celtics are on a 3 game winning streak without Rondo, lets hope we can keep this going through out the season. The Celtics win easy going away 97-84 against the Orlando Magic. Paul...

Celtics Roll Over Magic, Move To 3-0 Post-Rondo

Celtics 97, Magic 84 A Celtics team that is reeling from injuries was fortunate enough to match up against an Orlando Magic squad that came into Friday Night’s game having lost 18 of their last 20. Boston (23-23) pulled away with a 14-4 run to begin the fourth quarter and ended up winning by double-digits for the second consecutive game. Inevitably, this will only fuel the...

Live Game Updates - Clippers @ Celtics

12:35: Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday CG readers. Unlike most people, I'll be more interested in the NBA action today rather than the game tonight. We all know that neither the Patriots nor my Packers made it, so it's tough to get motivated. Besides, this game'll probably be more exciting anyway. The Clippers are 34-14, the Celtics are 23-23. Boston is 16-9 at home while...

Celtics’ Jared Sullinger To Miss Rest Of The Season With Back Injury

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger will need surgery on his back and will miss the remainder of the season. This is a another blow to the Celtics who lost their leader, Rajon Rondo, Sunday to a torn ACL. Sullinger, averaging 6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in his rookie season with the Celtics, left Wednesday’s game against the Kings...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Magic 2/1

The Celtics won their third consecutive game Friday night at the Garden. Any anti-Celtic NBA fan will say that it was just against the Magic, but I'm proud of them. They really persevered today after the horrible news that Sullinger will miss the rest of the season. They are now an ok 23-23 and still eighth place in the conference. It could be better, but I'm fine with it...

BOSTON (AP) -- Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett each had a double-double, and the Boston Celtics responded to yet another blow to their lineup with a 97-84 win Friday night over the Orlando Magic, who lost their eighth straight game. Your Morning Dump… Where Greg Oden visits Boston

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. According to president of basketball operations Danny Ainge, the Celtics and Oden met to discuss both his health and where he may be able to fit in on the roster. “We wanted to talk to Greg to see where he is...

Celtics look to extend winning streak against Los Angeles Clippers

The Celtics are feeling pretty good about their recent success without two of their key players and are looking to continue building on it.  They are feeling more comfortable with the run and gun style and have found it has made them more aggressive with their attacks. They have managed to beat the Miami Heat during this revival of grit and balls; but since the Heat are a natural...

Recap: Paul Pierce saves bipolar Celtics from heartbreaking loss

Is this team bipolar or what? The Celtics tuned up the Clippers with 59 points in the first half. The offense was crisp, efficient and just plain smart. The defense was solid and the Clippers helped by playing sloppy. The combination resulted in a 19 point halftime lead. The second half was the exact opposite. The defense evaporated. The offense stopped. No movement. Sloppy passing...
