On March 4, the Cleveland Cavaliers held a promotion at Quicken Loans Arena where the team gave away 50 limited edition bobbleheads bearing the likeness of “Uncle Drew,” the curmudgeonly character who can ball with the best of them despite his advanced age who is portrayed by point guard sensation Kyrie Irving in the much ballyhooed commercials for Pepsi Max. According to a Business Insider report, four of the 50 “Uncle Drew” bobbleheads have already been sold on eBay for at least $400, with one selling for a whopping $560 on March 10. One of the incredibly popular promotional videos from Pepsi Max featuring “Uncle Drew”, this one already having garnered over 22 million views on YouTube: Via eBay: Bobbleheads are unquestionably considered a valuable collectible by memorabilia enthusiasts and often demand is driven sky-high due to limited releases, as is the case with Kyrie Irving “Uncle Drew” bobblehead giveaway, but shelling out over 500 bucks for one of them?
