The Basketball Jones: Kevin Garnett, without cursing, compares playing for the Celtics to baking a cake.  I bet Kevin bakes with a frightening intensity, and I feel bad for any family member daring enough to say “I’m full” when offered a portion of one of his fine desserts.

Pro Basketball Talk: You’ll be happy to know that Lamar Odom won’t get any of the two-hundred-some thousand dollars the Mavericks roster earned during their brief playoff series against Oklahoma City.

Youtube: It’s the 10th anniversary of the time Allen Iverson said “practice” 22 and a half times in less than three minutes.  In honor of Iverson, no one should practice anything today.

Sports Illustrated: Utah will start Paul Millsap at small forward tonight.  If you actually choose to watch the game, take note of how well Millsap moves his feet and handles the ball on the perimeter.  He’s a remarkable player who, for some reason, continues to fly under everyone’s radar.

InsideHoops: Dirk Nowitzki plans on making changes to his offseason training routine.  I suppose this means he’ll actually be working out this summer.  Way to learn from your mistakes, Diggler!

Youtube: Ricky Rubio and Kyrie Irving visit EA Sports to take a sneak peak at NBA Live ’13.  Ricky Rubio talks in the video, which is why I’m suggesting that you watch it.

Celtics Life: I would say Brandon Bass needs to step his game up, or at least get back to the level he was playing at during the regular season, if the Celtics are going to continue to advance… but they’ll be beating Philadelphia next, and then losing to Miami.  So, I suppose it doesn’t really matter what you do, Brandon.

Denver Post: There are quite a few iron men playing through various injuries this postseason, but no one is as banged up as Al Harrington, who is currently battling with a broken nose and a torn meniscus.

Youtube: Those “BIG” commercials were bad enough.  Why’d they have to go and make a WNBA version?  I bet WNBA.COM/TICKETS gets fewer hits than this blog does.

NiuBball: Apparently there’s a 16-year-old seven-footer from China dominating top youth tournaments around the world.  Chinese Kevin Durant?  Based on the photograph provided in the link I don’t think there’s any goddamn way he could bench the bar, and it says he’s got strong perimeter skills!
