Some notes from today's practice courtesy of Twitter.
Both Kris Joseph and Fab Melo were present at practice today. Kris was on the court with the team but Fab was there to work out and to observe. Fab didn't practice with the team because Doc didn't want reps taken away from other bigs. Neither has been called up but just in for practice and will return to Maine. Doc expressed that being able to bring rookies back on and off day for Red Claws a big advantage to new NBDL affiliation.
Kris Joseph said he's willing to drive down from Portland, Maine whenever he can to practice with big club. But, he added that he makes Fab Melo drive in separate car so he doesn't have to wait for him after practice. Joseph also added that any rookie would rather stay in Boston, but playing with Red Claws has been of great benefit to him.
Doc singled out Jared Sullinger after practice for praise saying, "Way to play, baby." Sully and Rondo were running pic...

Video: Jameer Nelson breaks Paul Pierce's ankle into a million pieces
This is just totally embarassing for Celtics' Paul Pierce and it came courtesy of Magic's Jameer Nelson.
Let's set it up:
The scene: Orlando, FL, Amway Center
The victim: Boston's Paul Pierce
The outcome: Pierce gets decimated by a hesitation move by Nelson which causes his ankle to get shattered along with his knee to buckle.

The Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets got into a scuffle Wednesday night right before halftime at the Garden. The fight started after Rajon Rondo took offense to a foul by Kris Humphries on Kevin Garnett. Rondo then pushed Humphries into the stands and the fight proceeded in the lapse of the fans. Not sure what the repercussions will be but this certainly cause suspension similar...

Kris Joseph had another strong game as the Red Claws start the season 2-0, beating the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 117-112. Joseph finished with 23 points (6-22) to go with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
