Found March 30, 2012 on Red's Army:
Sherrod Blakely has an update on Ray Allen's ankle: "It feels good; it feels fine," Allen said. "I'll know a little better later on." Allen, who has missed the Celtics' last four games with the injury, will go through his usual pre-game routine which involves getting to the arena early and get up some shots. He did that prior to the C's win over Utah on Wednesday. He cut the session short when he wasn't able to move laterally as well as he's accustomed to. While there remains swelling, rest and "aggressive" treatments have the ankle, according to Allen, "in a good place now. We'll see." Ray will be a game-time decision. The Wolves will not have three regulars for tonight's game: center Nikola Pekovic, J.J. Barea and Michael Beasley.

Ray Allen travels with Celtics to Minnesota

According to the official Boston Celtics twitter account, Ray Allen is traveling with the team to Minnesota, but it has yet to be seen if he will play tomorrow against the Timberwolves. My guess is he will be a game time decision. With Avery Bradley filling in nicely for Ray, I personally would rather he rest for Sunday's game with the Heat and not risk re-injury. Ray Allen...

Ray Allen on flight to Minnesota, which means he’s close to return

When the Celtics have an injured player fly with the team, it means he is ready for a return, or at least close to it. Expect Ray Allen to play tomorrow night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, unless, of course, he doesn’t. Analysis! While we’re discussing Allen, CelticsBlog posted an article this afternoon suggesting that Avery Bradley should remain the Celtics starting shooting...

Ray Allen misses 5th straight game for Boston

Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen is out for the fifth game in a row with a sore right ankle. Allen tested his ankle in the team's shootaround Friday morning and was planning to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But coach Doc Rivers says Allen wasn't able to go once he arrived at Target Center. Getting the sharp-shooter back would be a big lift for the surging Celtics...

Ray Allen Could Return Friday to Celtics, Who Have Changed During His Four-Game Absence

Ray Allen could return on Friday, which is good news for the Celtics even if they are 3-1 in his absence. Allen traveled with the Celtics for their one-game road trip to Minnesota, so that could be an indication that he will play for the first time since missing last Friday's game in Philadelphia with a sore ankle. If Allen can go, expect Celtics coach Doc Rivers to pencil him...

Ray Allen, Doc Rivers open to bench role

Dunkin' Doughnuts is not paying us to use this picture (though they are welcome to.) The Celtics have been getting off to great starts of late. Avery Bradley's defense at the 2 guard position has been a boost to the starting 5, but now Ray Allen is about to return. The question C's fans are wondering is whether the C's would be better off bringing Ray off the bench...

Ray Allen participating in shootaround, could start tonight against Minnesota

So Ray will return to his starting spot despite Avery Bradley’s recent solid stretch, which is good because now Doc won’t have to have the “I know you’re a first-ballot Hall of Famer and shooting better than ever from behind the arc, but this young buck with an 8.96 PER is going to take your spot.”

Ray Allen will miss Jazz game, Doc Rivers does not sound very concerned

Ray Allen will miss his fourth consecutive game Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz, leaving Avery Bradley to make his third straight start.Doc Rivers said before Wednesday’s game that he is not overly concerned about Allen’s injury, but history’s most prolific three-point shooter did not feel well enough to play after going through his normal pregame shooting routine.“He’s...

Should the Celtics think about Ray Allen as the 6th Man?

Ray Allen participated in the team shoot around and is expected to be reinserted into the Celtics starting lineup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Yes, despite the title of this article I do think this is a good thing. Allen has missed the last four games for the Celtics nursing a sore ankle that he aggravated in a 102-96 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks back on March...

Comments from the other side - Jazz 3/28

Lots of KG hate from Jazz fans.  It's funny how different fan bases hate different players.  In Utah it's KG, in Chicago it's Rondo, in other places it's Pierce and in a few places it's even Ray Allen.  Glad at least one fan stuck up for KG, though.    For all their complaints about the refs and them not getting any calls,  they shot 3 more free throws than...

Audio: Doc Rivers on WEEI, discusses Big Three, Ray Allen’s health and future

Interesting thoughts from the coach of the Boston Celtics. Doc Rivers discusses Ray Allen’s health, Kevin Garnett’s success at the 5 and Brandon Bass as a starter. *** Coming Shortly: Doc’s son, Austin Rivers, will join WEEI during the 9 am, EST hour on WEEI. CLNS Radio will post the audio as soon as WEEI [...]

Ray Allen a game-time decision against Jazz; Mickael Pietrus timetable still unknown

Celtics Live Blog: Glass-Crashing Timberwolves Take on C's in Minnesota

8 a.m. ET: The veteran-laden, rebounding-challenged Celtics face their polar opposite on Friday when they visit the young, rebound-grabbing Timberwolves. The Celtics (28-22) are riding a three-game win streak and look to keep pace with the Philadelphia 76ers in the race for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Timberwolves (25-27) also harbor playoff aspirations, but they...

Ray flies with team, Pietrus not close to return

The Celtics are on their way to Minnesota and it looks like Ray Allen is getting a lot closer to playing.  He was on the team flight, which means there's a good chance he could play.  Last night, he was out at his usual time going through his usual warm ups when he made the call that he couldn't go, so it's clear he's close.  Mickael Pietrus, however, is not...

Ray Allen May Return Friday

Ray Allen has not played since March 22 against the Bucks when he sustained a right ankle injury.

Heat-Celtics Preview

The Big Three continue to lead the way for the Miami Heat, who seem unlikely to relinquish control of the Southeast Division lead down the stretch. While Ray Allen has missed the last five games, the Boston Celtics have climbed to the top of the Atlantic behind tremendous efforts from Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Looking to continue their recent success in this series, the Heat...
