The Boston Celtics currently sit with a roster of 13 bodies, but two — Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger — will miss the rest of the 2013 season.
The Celtics may be looking to add a big man to their core, and one name that has popped up is DJ White. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Boston Celtics will look to sign the former Charlotte Bobcat to a 10-day contract.
Hearing that Celtics have former Charlotte big man D.J. White in their sights for 10-day deal now that White's season in China is over— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 22, 2013
White has averaged an impressive 21.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks with the Shanghai Sharks, who recently just finished their season. If the 26-year-old signs, it will be the second player the Celtics have recently signed from China, following Jordan Crawford.

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
But the way the 25-year-old has played in two games thus far for the Celtics — averaging 5.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 18.5 minutes — he is making a strong case to stay...
Despite the injury, the Boston Celtics have made Rajon Rondo available for trade. However, a deal is unlikely. If the team were to get anything done, it would probably have to be after the season. Right now, Rondo is rehabbing from a torn ACL. According to ESPN Boston, if the Celtics received an offer for Rondo, they would not immediately turn it down. It's not beyond...
Latest word out of Boston: Celtics making deadline-day run at player they've pursued before ... Tyreke Evans

Kings, until today, have been rejecting all interest in Tyreke. But @mr_jasonjones of Sacramento Bee reports Kings revisiting that stance— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 21, 2013

Jason Whitney The intense Kevin Garnett is usually the one getting under the opposing team’s skin while on the basketball hardwood. However, last night against the Lakers in Los Angeles, the script was flipped as a crazy fan went berserk screaming Garnett’s first name at least 20 times in one minute.
Although KG kept his composure, it’s hard not to break a smile listening...
He seems to be happy.
I had already posted some statistics about Jordan Crawford early in the morning because that deal made too much sense, (CelticsLife: always gives you the fastest updates and insights) but now that it's official I would like to delve more into the subject.
First of all, the Celtics have found the almost perfect replacement for Leandro Barbosa. Jordan Crawford...
I have been away from the internet since the trade deadline passed, but I'm sure there's an outrage somewhere because "Danny Ainge hasn't blown this team up" or that "Danny Ainge didn't make any big moves." (Reportedly, Felger was ripping Ainge apart yesterday, and I'm not shocked to hear that from someone who doesn't know anything about...
Jeff Green and his "I'm awesome and I know it" face.
KG might have gotten his first DNP-Old of his career, but that didn't cause the Celtics any problem as they have easily beaten the Suns 113-88 in their first post-trade deadline game.
A detailed account of the game is not necessary. We played awesome defense and that turned into great offense. We never looked...
There’s a report out of Washington, DC that the Celtics and Wizards initially agreed on the inclusion of Chris Wilcox in the deal for Jordan Crawford.
I can’t blame Wilcox for blocking the deal. One, he won’t get a chance at the playoffs in Washington. Two, waiving Bird rights could cost him money. [link]

It’s not a trade involving Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce, but it’s still worth talking.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Boston Celtics have dealt Leandro Barbosa’s expiring contract for Jordan Crawford. This deal originally involved Fab Melo, but the C’s persuaded Washington.
Celtics will send the Leandro Barbosa expiring contract to the Wizards for Jordan...
Someone really, really wanted Kevin Garnett’s attention at Staples Center last night. In the second quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers, a persistent fan began yelling, “Kevin…Kevin…Keeevviinnnn…KEVIN!!” He did not respond.
The Boston Celtics sat Kevin Garnett Saturday and still easily defeated the Phoenix Suns -- thanks to Jeff Green.
The fifth-year forward dominated, making 11-of-14 shots, including three 3-pointers, for 31 points. He added a full stat line of seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and five blocks in 39 minutes. It was a dominant performance, but one that we've come to expect...

Breaking news: The Celtics are shockingly looking for big men to fill the two roster spots they have! (Yes, I'm having fun with those who thought the Celtics made a mistake by not trading for a big yesterday as if the league abounds with them.)

From today's Herald, big man names C's have discussed: Jerome Jordan...
Roma has announced a preliminary deal for Sheik Adnan Adel Aref al Qaddumi al Shtewi to enter its ownership group.
In 2011, a group of four Boston executives closed a deal to become the first foreign majority owners of a Serie A club, but Roma continues to seek more funding which could aid its plan to build a new stadium.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Jeff Green gave Boston a sensational performance in his first start in nearly two years.
Green scored a season-high 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting and the short-handed Celtics routed the Phoenix Suns 113-88 on Friday night.
"I didn't have a different mindset," said Green, who missed last season following heart surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm...
