Found May 10, 2013 on Celtics Life:
Back in February when half of the Celtics roster had been sidelined with injuries, the Celtics picked up former CBA player Terrence Williams. The swingman was first acquired on a 10-day contract and was later signed for the remainder of the season after showing he could potentially be a solid rotation guard in Boston's suddenly depleted rotation. Before joining the Celtics, Williams was coming off of an impressive season in the Chinese Basketball Association, averaging 18 points, 3 boards, and 4 dimes per game. Obviously those numbers wouldn't hold up when joining a team mid-season and becoming a 3rd string guard, but T-Will was always ready when his number was called. During the 2nd half of the season and into the postseason Williams showed his ability to run the Celtics offense and distribute the ball effectively - something the Celtics were in desperate need of after the injury to #9. When Celtics signed Williams for the remainder of the year they also signed him cond...

Shavlik Randolph has an option for next season, taking a look at whether the C's bring him back

I'll admit that I openly scoffed at the Celtics when they signed Shavlik Randolph to a 10-day contract in early March. I remembered Randolph's "meh" career at Duke during the middle of the last decade, and hadn't heard his name in years. It turns out he had spent the 2012-13 season in China, dominating the Chinese Basketball Association to the tune of 32 PPG...

What the Hell Happened to...Erick Strickland?

He was a tough lefty-combo guard who was the master of taking charges.  In 2002 the Celtics were 4-0 with him as the starting point guard when Kenny Anderson got injured.  I for one was crushed when he left Boston after his one season.  If you remember the Cinderella Celtics of 2002, you absolutely remember Erick Strickland. A former Nebraska Cornhusker (and a tremendous...

Scalbrine:“If you add a guy like this, it makes the Celtics a different team."

From WEEI: “I haven’t seen him in action like 5-on-5, but this kid would be a tremendous asset for the Celtics,” said Scal. “He’s strong and big and would take so much pressure off guys like Garnett. He’s athletic and pretty intelligent, and would fit in pretty well.” “He’s from New Zealand, a freak athlete. I always talk about Omer Asik and he’s similar to...

Your Morning Dump… Could Tony Allen come back to Boston?

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Tony Allen (Memphis Grizzlies) Summary: Yes, things didn’t end on the best of terms for Tony Allen and the Boston Celtics. But a reunion isn’t totally out of the question. Like most of the deals Boston will...

Your Morning Dump… Revisionist anger, Ryan McDonough and a mock draft

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Another myth that got loud traction during the six-game loss to the Knicks was that the Celtics could have saved their season by getting another point guard after Rondo went down on the last weekend of January....

Danny Ainge Says Celtics Are ‘More Than One Player Away’ From NBA Championship

Danny Ainge made his regular radio appearance on Thursday, and the Celtics’ president of basketball operations offered several pieces of good news for Boston fans among one major bit of bad news. Ainge, speaking with Michael Holley and Mike Salk on WEEI, dispelled the belief that there will be major changes to the Celtics this offseason. Ainge said he expects Kevin Garnett and...

Boston Celtics: Time for a New Direction for the Celtics?

Boston Celtics: Time for a New Direction for the Celtics? By: Bryan Luis The Boston Celtics had a down season according to the expectations of many in Boston, but it should not have been a surprise that they struggled this season. A Celtics fan guide to watching the rest of the playoffs

Danny Ainge: Stephen A. Comments "Silly"

Stephen A. Smith ignited Twitter when he spoke on First Take recently of a proposed trade that would send Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce,  to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Blake Griffin, Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan, and Caron Butler. Many thought that Stephen A.'s "inside information" was absolutely insane, with Celtics' GM Danny Ainge being one of them...

No Lakers or Celtics in the Second Round?

First time since 2007 that there isn't a Boston Celtics' or Los Angeles Lakers' team in the second round of the NBA playoffs. These two teams make up 33 NBA titles out of 67 NBA championships (almost half). Seriously, I hate the Lakers so I am happy they aren't in it. A lot of our readers and fans out there thought the Spurs and Lakers series was going to be entertaining...
