Tonight, the Celtics finally put on a good performance with a huge, 118-107 win over the Hawks. With the win, the Celtics are now just 1.5 games behind Atlanta for the six seed. They need that six seed. Their chances of being an underdog title winner are 0 if they open the playoffs in Indiana. I'd much rather play Brooklyn. Tonight's USOTN goes to the three-point shooting of Jason Terry. Terry was huge tonight, scoring 24 points in 31 minutes. 15 of those 24 points came on threes, as he shot 5/7 from behind the ark. It'd be nice to have him play like this every game. Hopefully tonight's his turning point. With this win I feel like the Celtics proved that this season won't be lost until they drop a fourth game in a playoff series. Right when even I stop believing in them, they beat a Hawks team that, going into this one, had won 7 of their last 10. It's wins like this that make me have faith again. I do believe that, when healthy and playing the way they should, they are the second best team in the conference behind the hated-Heat. When you look back at their schedule, they have at least one win over each of the other seven eastern playoff teams(Miami, Indiana, New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, and Milwaukee). They have the capability of winning a title, now they just need to go out there and do it.
