MarShon Brooks talks about playing behind Joe Johnson and preparing to play with Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley. Brooks should get more minutes with the Celtics, which should be great for him. He averaged 12.6 points per game and 2.3 assists per game in his rookie season at 29.4 minutes per game. That number dipped the next season when the Nets acquired Johnson and Brooks saw only 12.5 minutes per game.
Gaining Brooks is one of the bright spots of the trade, as Ainge reverses a bad move of passing on Brooks to take JaJuan Johnson in the draft two years ago. It's a mistake that Ainge copped to in today's press conference.

The Pistons reportedly are interested in making an offer to the Celtics for Rajon Rondo but apparently are not willing to part with the player needed to make the deal.
The Nets deal just got a little sweeter for the Celtics and makes it a bit easier to handle the sting of losing Pierce and KG.
It has been announced that Brooklyn will keep Reggie Evans and instead send us Brooks. This will not be the first time Marshon has been with the Celtics, well at least technically. Brooks was drafted No. 25 by the C's in 2011, but was sent to the Nets...
Knight is only remembered for getting dunked on, but is actually a good young point guard
The rumors linking Rajon Rondo to the Detroit Pistons are not going anywhere. After all, Detroit as a destination makes as much sense as any for Rondo. They signed Rondo's good friend Josh Smith earlier this month, and have a young core seemingly ready to make an impact on the Eastern Conference...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

As part of the Paul Pierce/Kevin Garnett mega-deal to the Brooklyn Nets, the Boston Celtics received Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, and Keith Bogans in return along with a slew of draft picks.

The Detroit Pistons have been burning up the phone lines this offseason, desperate to make more moves in order to shake up their roster, which was listless the better part of 2012.
Considering the lack of activity that has plagued...
The hot rumor over the weekend was the Detroit Pistons offering up G Brandon Knight and some expiring contracts for Boston point guard Rajon Rondo.
Here’s a excerpt from Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe who was one of the first to break the story:
The Pistons are quite interested in Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, but they don’t have a package to offer that would attract...
WALTHAM, Mass. — Kris Humphries doesn’t get it, but he gets it. He knows his relationship with Rajon Rondo is a source of amusement after their physical altercation spilled into the stands during a game in November. At the same time, he knows better than to call their run-in a “fight.”
Humphries is from Minnesota, after all, a region that shares some of New England’s passion...
The Detroit Pistons offered Brandon Knight and an expiring contract to the Boston Celtics for Rajon Rondo.
The Celtics would seek Andre Drummond, who the Pistons will not give up in a trade for Rondo.
The Pistons want to evaluate the frontcourt of Drummond, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith before making any major decisions about their future.

If the price is right, Rajon Rondo could join Josh Smith and the Detroit Pistons in the near future.
Rondo, who has been in trade talks for a long time, may be on his way to Mo-Town, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. The Detroit Pistons have been intrigued on the possibility of adding the 27-year-old point guard alongside high-flying...
Adding a star point guard like Rajon Rondo would certainly put an exclamation point on Joe Dumars' rebuilding of the Pistons.
But the price is currently much too high.
The Boston Globe reported this weekend that the Pistons have talked to Boston about Rondo, trying to tempt the Celtics with some combination of Brandon Knight, the expiring contracts of Charlie Villanueva and...
