Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Kevin Garnett said last night that his 14th All-Star Game appearance on Sunday in Houston will also be his last, though the Celtics forward stopped short of saying he was retiring at the end of the season. Garnett, realizing he had just set off an alarm, then turned cryptic. He has two years remaining on his contract. “This is definitely my last All-Star Game,” he said. “Ya’ll don’t know what I know. I’m more than grateful, and I’m not going to act like I have more All-Star Games in me. I’ll enjoy this one with friends and family. That’s what I meant.” Herald Watch the video and tell me KG isn’t retiring after the season. The initial reference to this being his last All-Star game is done so casually, as if the words slipped out of his mouth. How clutch was the big fella last night? 8 points in the 4th. The huge jumper

Kevin Garnett shoots down retirement chatter, talks about commitment to Celtics

Less than 48 hours ago Kevin Garnett sent Celtics fans, the media, and the twitterverse into panic mode when he said that this year's All-Star game would be his last, and seemed to hint at retirement. Personally I never gave a ton of credence to the comments considering A. KG's impossible to read, he never gives direct answers and B. Comments made after a grueling stretch...

Kevin Garnett hints that he is retiring after this season (Video)

Kevin Garnett signed a three-year contract extension with the Boston Celtics this past offseason, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he intends to play in the NBA until he is 39 years old. The Big Ticket’s numbers have remained roughly the same for the past three or four seasons, but it’s obvious his body is slowly breaking down. Despite that, he is still one of the more popular...

Celtics-Bulls Live: Kevin Garnett Gets Some Unfinished Business Out of Way Before Heading to All-Star Game

But before...

The Boston Celtics hosted the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night in what ended up being a triple-overtime thriller. The Celtics managed to win the game 118-114 behind Paul Pierce’s 27 points. While the game was full of highlights, perhaps the best highlight was when the oft vocal Kevin Garnett told Kenneth Faried to “get that sh$t out of her n$%#a”. He yelled it loud enough that...

Boston Celtics beat Chicago Bulls by using same pick-and-roll set on consecutive possessions.

Defense ruled the day, but it was Boston's offense that sealed the game down the stretch. In last night’s nail-biter against Chicago, points were predictably at a premium between two very talented, very defense-oriented teams.
