The NFL has yet to say whether or not the Pittsburgh Steelers will incur the loss or modification of a 2014 draft pick as a result of the Mike Tomlin sideline incident in the game against the Baltimore Ravens earlier this season, but on Wednesday, team president Art Rooney II told the media what his course of action would be if any additional discipline is handed down. According to Bob Labriola on Twitter, Rooney says he would expect the league to notify the team of any additional discipline before spring owners meetings take place and if there is any more discipline handed down, he let it be known that the team would appeal it. Tomlin was fined $100,000 by the league for stepping onto the field during the long kickoff return by Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones and has since let it be known that he takes full responsibility for his actions. Tomlin insisted that his actions were not intentional but did refer to them as being embarrassing and inexcusable. The Ravens went on to win the game and any point differential that might have been gained or lost as a result of Tomlin's actions did not play a role in either team failing to advance to the playoffs. As far as Rooney is concerned, it appears as though he thinks this should be a non issue moving forward and we'll have to wait and see if the league feels the same way.
