Found June 22, 2013 on The Victory Formation:
Ryan Swope appeared to be one of the best wide receivers entering into the NFL Draft, but he slid all the way to the sixth round, where the Arizona Cardinals selected him. He became a low-risk high-reward type pick all due to the fact that he suffered several concussions while playing on college. He has yet to be cleared by doctors to particpate in offseason programs besides the team’s rookie mini-camp, and it is becoming a great concern for team, especially new head coach Bruce Arians. “Only guy I am worried about is Swope with his head,” Arians discussed with’s Ian Rapoport when asked about his rookie class, via the Cardinals’ website. Arians went on to discuss how surprised he was that Swope still wasn’t cleared by doctors. “I’m not sure what he can do, I’m not sure what the doctors are going to do at this point,” Arians said. “I hope . . . because the kid is a great talent, and it would be a shame. But having Austin Collie last year going through this same thing, it’s scary.” Collie, who showed tremendous ability early in his career with the Colts, has suffered from numerous concussions, and [...]

Cardinals beginning to worry about sixth round pick Swope

When Cardinals sixth-round pick Ryan Swope missed OTA practices because of lingering concussion symptoms from head injuries he suffered while at Texas A&M, coach Bruce Arians said he wasn’t worried and believed Swope would be “fine.” That was in early June, and a week later, Arians (and I assume the rest of the team) still wasn’t concerned. But now, with training camps...

Is Success in the Cards for Arizona?

Bruce Arians has barely begun his first full season as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals yet is already making headlines with his controversial decision to eliminate player-stretching time before practices.  However, if Arians can work the same magic in Arizona as he did last year in Indianapolis while Chuck Pagano was on medical leave, his doubters will fall by the wayside....

Can Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson keep the Honeybadger out of trouble?

Tyrann Mathieu was probably one of the most talked about football players coming out of the NFL draft this year, because of his amazing plays around the ball.  While he sat out the entire last season, he was still drafted.  Maybe he wasn’t drafted in the first or second round because of his character concerns, but he was still drafted.  Just like Aaron Hernandez, who is facing...
