According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, there’s “increasing chatter” that Colts’ offensive coordinator Bruce Arians is on track to become the next head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Arians went 9-3 with a rookie quarterback while filling in for Chuck Pagano this season, so it’s really not all that surprising that he’s been an attractive option for teams that are looking for a new head coach. Arians has been linked to almost every head coaching vacancy, but the only jobs that remain are the Cardinals and Jaguars. Arizona is rumored to be targeting an offensive minded head coach because it would allow them to keep their defensive staff in place, even though they’re running the risk of possibly upsetting defensive coordinator Ray Horton, who is also in the mix for the job. Florio points out that the Cardinals job isn’t all that attractive given the fact that they’re without even a serviceable quarterback and they play in arguably the toughest division in the NFL. There’s actually a chance that Arians could elect to remain with Colts instead of taking on the huge challenge that awaits the next head coach of the Cardinals. Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevel is meeting with the Cardinals today. The post Bruce Arians The Favorite To Land The Cardinals’ HC Job? appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
