Steelers rookie RB Chris Rainey rushed four times for 17 yards and a touchdown and caught an eight-yard pass in Sunday night’s Week 7 win over Cincinnati. Largely a gadget player in the Steelers’ offense, Rainey showed his explosiveness on a traditional carry up the gut in the fourth quarter. Rainey got a nice kick-out block from motioning TE Heath Miller and blasted up the middle of Cincinnati’s defense for an 11-yard touchdown. Rainey is a nice weapon for Steelers playcaller Todd Haley, and will continue to find ways to use him.Rainey is a track guy, as a junior in 2010, the Florida Gators men’s 4×100-meter relay team, including Rainey, Jeremy Hall, Terrell Wilks and Jeff Demps, won the NCAA championship in the event with a winning time of 39.04 seconds. Haley needs to find a way to get Rainey the ball more.

Breaking Down The Great Blocking On The Chris Rainey Touchdown Run
One of the plays from Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night win over the Cincinnati Bengals that perhaps best illustrates how good the offensive line blocked in the game was the 11-yard touchdown run by rookie running back Chris Rainey.

We Saw First Hand In Cincy Why Pittsburgh’s Mike Wallace Didn’t Get The Money He Wanted
Is The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace still holding out for more money or what? He looked like he is only working part-time in the Cincinnati game dropping ball after ball when Roethlisberger was hitting him right in his hands last night. Wallace had 4 drops on balls that could have easily help the Steelers put the pressure on the Cincinnati Bengals. Wallace even...

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced today that defensive end Corbin Bryant has been signed to the practice squad to fill the open spot.

For Some, It’s Always Ben’s Fault
Ben Roethlisberger is in a no-win situation and while some of it may be of his own doing, the fact is that he just can’t win no matter what he does on the field anymore. If he gets the Steelers a lead in the second half and the team still loses, it’s his fault. If he puts up 31 points and the Steelers lose, it’s his fault. If he leads the team from behind and the Steelers still...

Rashard Mendenhalls Time In Pittsburgh Coming To An End?
Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writes that Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyers performance for the rest of the season could ultimately decide whether or not they re-sign Rashard Mendenhall during the offseason.
Mendenhall, 25, will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months and is still working his way back from a torn ACL that he suffered last season. Pittsburgh...

Steelers Ground Game Lost Going Into Clash With Redskins
By SBRForum.com
The Pittsburgh Steelers might be a 3-3 team through six weeks, but they know that they are
going to have to run the ball a whole heck of a lot better than they have been over the course of
the first six games of the season if they have a chance to make it to the playoffs this year. This
week’s foe is the Washington Redskins, who are 4 ½-point underdogs on the opening...

And on Sept. 7, the Steelers subsequently announced what games the team would be wearing the throwbacks: On Oct. 28 for a game against the Washington Redskins and...
