The Texas Lottery will once again be working with the Dallas Cowboys to give fans a behind the scenes experience of their organization, according to the Dallas Morning News. The fifth installment of the $5 game offers more than $29 million in instant prizes, topping out at $100,000. Lottery Commission Executive Director Gary Grief and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones unveiled the game at a news conference Wednesday at team headquarters in Irving. Cowboys fans also will have more opportunities to win an invitation inside the team’s draft room on draft night among other prizes including season tickets and a suite for a Dallas home game. Scratch-off games featuring the Cowboys have resulted in $184 million in sales over five years, with $125 million going back to winners. Hopefully next year’s draft room is more exclusive then the one from this past April.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Dez Bryant: I can beat double-coverage

IRVING, Texas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said he can make plays if the ball is thrown to him in double coverage, which is what Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he would like to see. Bryant stopped short of calling for more passes to be thrown to him, but didn't disagree with Jones' request. "I'll say this, I'm very confident in anything that I'm doing,...

CB Morris Claiborne says he's in transition learning new scheme, takes demotion in stride

For both the Dallas Cowboys and CB Morris Claiborne, this isn't what they had in mind when he was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and was considered by many to be the best defensive prospect available in the draft. Basically a man to man cornerback, Claiborne is trying to adjust to Monte Kiffin's 'Tampa Bay 2' zone defense.

Confidence and Comparisons: The Latest On Cowboys CB Claiborne

IRVING, Texas Mo Claiborne needs technique. He needs confidence. He needs health. But most of all, the struggling young Dallas Cowboys corner the team's No. 1 pick after it judged him to be the top defensive player in the 2012 NFL Draft -- needs time. Is there a technique problem that is contributing to the former LSU star being benched in favor of Orlando Scandrick? Yes...

Jason Hatcher on playing Peyton Manning “We ain’t scared of nobody”

Jason Hatcher may be taking the right approach to playing Peyton Manning “Don’t think for one minute we’re scared,” Hatcher said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “We ain’t scared of nobody. I don’t really care who it is. “-BlackSportsOnline.com Peyton Manning through a quarter of the season is on pace to shatter the passing TD record, Hatcher and the Cowboys...

Cowboys Are Sick of Hearing About Peyton Manning

Cowboys are doing a lot of chirping about the Broncos and Peyton Manning. If this was the playoffs I would say the Cowboys would have a good shot, but since it is the regular season, I don’t think these quotes are going to help. “I’m sick of hearing about Peyton Manning this and that and that,” said linebacker Ernie Sims, who expects to replace struggling starter Bruce Carter...

Tony Romo Improves His Throwing Motion

The Cowboys may be 2-2 to start the season, much as they did the last season, but one player who has performed (and improved) is Tony Romo. In a conference call with Denver media, Tony went into detail about how changes in his throwing mechanics have allowed him to approach the game in a calmer and steadier manner than he has in the past. Per Charean Williams of the Star-Telegram...

Romo needs to take more chances to beat Denver

If Jerry Jones was telling the truth when he said Tony Romo would have a lot more say in the game-planning process this season, then it's time for the quarterback to get a little greedy. On the surface, the fact Romo's only thrown one interception through four games should be cause for celebration. His only interception of the season came in the season-opener against the...

Schefter: Cowboys are “un-clutch”

During an appearance on ESPN 980 in Washington D.C.,  Adam Schefter gave his thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys so far this season. “You just can not count on them. They are so un-clutch,” said Schefter,  per Chris Russell of ESPN 980. Well, I’m sure Schefter will get a lot of hate mail from Dallas fans now.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Hobbled Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin was unable to participate in practice Thursday. The 29-year-old Austin suffered a strained hamstring against the Rams in Week 3 and is still battling the injury. Loaded with weapons, rookie Terrance Williams will likely again substitute for Austin on Sunday when the Denver Broncos (4-0) visit Arlington. Unfortunately for “The Boys...

The Weekly What-If: What if the Cowboys had beaten the Broncos at any point in the past 15 years?

In the weekly What-If posts, we review some event (draft, game, or whatever) and consider what might have happened if history had been different. This week’s post focuses on the last four games against the Denver Broncos, who have not lost to the Cowboys since 1995. I managed to fall behind this week, so I did draft a What-If post on Wednesday. For one week only, I’ll call this...
