Training camps kicked off recently, and camp injuries are already hurting teams. On Friday, Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerback, Morris Claiborne, tweaked his knee in practice.

Claiborne reportedly left practice as a precautionary measure. The Cowboys claim an MRI on Claiborne's knee will also be a precautionary measure.

Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, stated in regards to Claiborne's injury, "We are not concerned."

Jones' lack of concern over Claiborne's injury is stunning.

If the Cowboys want their first-round investment to start paying dividends in 2012, Claiborne is going to need to stay on the field.

The fledgling No. 6 overall pick sat out of organized team activities and rookie minicamps due to a wrist injury.  Training camp is the first time the Cowboys took a look at their new toy, and Claiborne failed to impress his first week.

Scorched by rookies one-on-one, Claiborne appeared unable to cover anyone. Dez Bryant easily beat Claiborne several times.

An offseason injury, a new injury, and an inability to shut down practice-squad receivers should be setting off alarm bells for the Cowboys' organization. They need to shift their focus back to scorned cornerback, Mike Jenkins. Free agent acquisition Brandon Carr is going to be on the field, and if Jenkins can rehabilitate properly, he is a proven Pro Bowl caliber player.

The Cowboys bought in to their own hype surrounding Claiborne. He will eventually be an impact player, but they pulled out the anointing oil way too early on this one. Claiborne was declared a starter before the end of draft night.

At this rate, Claiborne will be another name on the list of recent Cowboys draft picks who fail to live up to great expectations. It isn't Claiborne's fault so many other picks went bust, but his injuries are a legitimate cuase for concern.

GM Jerry Jones strikes again.
