The Tennessee Titans signed Delanie Walker to a four year, $17.5 million contract in the offseason. Walker, however, missed his sixteenth training camp practice last week after undergoing knee surgery last month. Walker could return to practice as early as next week, which is obviously what the Titans are hoping for. “I am the missing piece of the puzzle, so not being able to jell with them, it is tough,” Walker says. “The toughest thing for me will be to get in football shape. I condition every day, but it’s not the same as blocking someone or trying to run from somebody.” Walker, who only had 21 catches for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns last year, is better known for the many different ways he can contribute to an offense and special teams. And after Tennessee’s loss of tight end Jared Cook in free agency, Walker will likely need to take on a larger offensive role with the Titans than he has had in the past with the 49ers.
