IRVING, Texas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said he can make plays if the ball is thrown to him in double coverage, which is what Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he would like to see. Bryant stopped short of calling for more passes to be thrown to him, but didn't disagree with Jones' request. "I'll say this, I'm very confident in anything that I'm doing," Bryant said. "If that's what was called, 'Let's get it down there to Dez,' OK. If it wasn't, I'm fine either way." Specifically, Jones said on his weekly radio show on KRLD-FM that Bryant can beat double coverage in situations where he can use his athleticism to out-jump defenders. He used Bryant's first touchdown pass Sunday in San Diego, an end zone fade route, as an example. "Like I said, I'm confident," Bryant said Thursday after practice. "If I've got to grab the ball I'm going to get it. I honestly feel like I would." Bryant has 23 catches and four touchdowns in four games. Although the Cowboys have been criticized in the media for not using him more, Bryant resisted any temptation to chime in. "I'm here to play my part," Bryant said. "I'm just going to continue to keep doing what I'm doing. To me, I always feel like it always depends on how the game is going. We try to find our strengths and I think for the most part, we go with what we think is going to work." Bryant's big-play ability is drawing even more attention this week with the high-scoring Broncos coming to AT&T Stadium. Bryant said the opponent shouldn't matter. "Each and every week we've got to be ready to roll, no matter who it is," Bryant said. "They are explosive. We've just got to stick to our game." The Cowboys have also been noted this season for not getting the ball downfield very much, another instance of not taking advantage of Bryant's abilities. Bryant wouldn't say if more deep routes are part of the game plan against the Broncos. "We've got to score every week," Bryant said. "We've got to try to outscore the opponent every week. That's the way it is in this game. And not just against Peyton Manning, against the next team and the next team." Follow Keith Whitmire on Twitter: @Keith_Whitmire
