Jerry Jones has been talking a lot junk lately about the Giants, they seem to be his main focus this season.
“I want everyone on our team with their mind on the Giants because that’s who we open up with,” Jones said. “That’s our first real deal, and that’s why they’re getting my attention.”
Funny thing is John Mara or the Giants aren’t even concerned with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. The only thing the Cowboys got out of Mara was a great one liner.
Mara walked in the team dining hall with a bandage on his forehead, when reporters noticed, Mara replied:
“You should see what Jerry Jones looks like.”
When appearing on “The Mike Lupica Show” on ESPN Radio, Mara was asked about Jones comment.
“We’ll show up (to play the Cowboys),” Mara said. “But that is actually the first time I’ve heard that comment. I have been so caught up in the (Tim) Tebow coverage that I haven’t had time for anything else.”
And with that combo Mara killed two birds with one stone.

Three Points for Making the Super Bowl
Improved Secondary: Dallas addressed...
In the past few days, we have gotten a glimpse of the Jerry Jones that won three Super Bowls in the 90’s. He boldly said that the Cowboys were going to beat up on the defending champion New York Giants. He also spoke about his own team. The old tenacious Jones surfaced this week, after initially being safe in choosing his words on the Dez Bryant saga; he now has shown that the...
Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne could miss at least a week with a sprained left knee.
Claiborne watched the team's walk-through practice Saturday morning standing by a coach. He says it's frustrating to miss more time.
The Cowboys drafted Claiborne with the sixth overall pick in April after trading up eight spots and giving up their second-round pick....
Dallas Cowboys first round pick Morris Claiborne underwent an MRI on his sore right knee after Friday's afternoon practice, ESPN Dallas reported. The cornerback tried to practice during the session but trainers decided to hold him out. Coach Jason Garrett said the team does not think the injury is serious and that the MRI was a precaution. Claiborne felt soreness in the knee...
The Cowboys worked out three veteran free agent offensive linemen on Thursday and given the pace at which their depth chart has been thinned by injuries, Montrae Holland, Derrick Dockery and Daniel Loper might be sticking around Oxnard, Calif., this weekend. Right guard Mackenzy Bernadeau (hip) and backup center Kevin Kowalski (ankle) are the one physically unable to perform list...
When you are in the first week of training camp, things make sense. There is seldom a starting position on the roster that gives you indigestion and your depth chart generally looks like it could work if youstudy it from the proper angle.
But, invariably, in the game of football, you are forced to alter your depth chart and your plans. Yesterday was the first day of pads for the...
Dallas Cowboys fans on Facebook, and there are a lot of them, won't be getting a friend request from coach Jason Garrett.
The Cowboys say the team's Facebook page surpassed 5 million likes this week. They are the first NFL team to hit that mark.
When Garrett was asked it, he said he had no idea what likes were. He said he's never been on Facebook, but says the social...
A shark is going hungry tonight.
NFL agent, Drew Rosenhaus, owns a giant client roster and an even bigger ego. Frank Gore and Rob Gronkowski are a couple of Rosenhaus' clients, as is the unemployed, Terrell Owens.
However, Dallas Cowboys receiver, Dez Bryant, is no longer allowing the influential Rosenhaus to do his bidding.
The troubled Dallas receiver is likely in the...
Recently at the Dallas Cowboys' training camp, owner and general manager Jerry Jones told his fans, "Y'all should come to Cowboys Stadium and watch us beat the Giants' asses." The 5,000 Cowboys fans that attended cheered after hearing the remark.
It's honestly amusing that the very outspoken Jones has already lit...
