Rookie linebacker LaRoy Reynolds of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been suspended without pay, effective immediately, for four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
Reynolds, 23, is the second member of the Jaguars to be suspended by the league in the past two weeks. Wide receiver Justin Blackmon, who was forced to sit out the first four games of the season for violation of the policy, received an indefinite suspension Nov. 1 for being a repeat offender.
An undrafted free agent, Reynolds has been used almost exclusively on special teams. He downed a Bryan Anger punt on the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter Sunday at Tennessee, a play that helped lead to a safety by the Jaguars' defense. The safety ended up accounting for the margin of victory as the Jaguars defeated the Titans 29-27 to snap a 13-game losing streak dating back to last November.
