After seeing his team fall to 1-4, Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver declined to comment on the Jaguars coaching situation. "I'm not making any comments," Weaver said. "We're going to review everything. Everybody's going to look in the mirror. We've got to execute better at every level. Coaching, players, everybody." Sunday's loss was especially troubling. "It was very disappointing," Weaver said. "We played well enough and we just made big mistakes at critical times. You can't do that and win football games." After bringing back head coach Jack Del Rio this season, Weaver initially said the Jaguar would probably have a new coach next year if they didn't make the playoffs. He later backed down from that assertion. Del Rio's contract runs through the 2012 season.
