Darnell Dockett continues Twitter feud with AJ McCarron

After last month’s BCS Championship Game, AJ McCarron fired up the ol’ Twitter machine to defend himself and his girlfriend from unsolicited advances from several people, including, most notably, Arizona Cardinals DE Darnell Dockett. McCarron got the better of that little spat, and it seems to have left a bad taste in Dockett’s mouth, as he was at it again Monday night. This time, however, it wasn’t McCarron’s girlfriend Katherine Webb with whom Dockett was seeking to spend time, but McCarron himself.

As before, McCarron wasn’t going to let this slide, and engaged Dockett on the matter, and as before, ended up getting the better of Dockett.

That brings the tote board to McCarron 2, Dockett 0. Maybe Dockett will learn his lesson this time, and leave well enough alone. But probably not.

  • I'm not an Alabama fan (go Buckeyes!), but your allegation of racism based on the composition of the team around 50 years ago is laughable. I didn't know Bear Bryant and won't comment on whether he was racist. However, thing is Bryant has been dead for decades and I've never heard a single thing that would make me think Nick Saben is racist in any way.

  • This makes little sense. I have little more than common knowledge on Bryant and will not pass judgement as such. 50 years ago is a big deal. It's no excuse for anyone at that time, but the demographics nationwide have drastically changed in football. Are there still racists? Yep. Do I believe an entire program recruits based on race? Not if they want to keep their jobs and win titles. Don't make assumptions.
