The Cowboys are off to yet another middling start to the season, sitting at 2-3. There is already whispers of this season being more of the same.
Same uninspiring head coach.
Yes, when it comes to the Boys, that trinity is the cause and solution to all of the Cowboys problems. After Tony Romo had an excellent day on Sunday, throwing for over 500 yards and five touchdowns, he threw an interception late in the game and it was as if the previous 58 minutes of game play hadn't happened. Questions came forth again whether this was the same old Romo and the same old Cowboys as a result.
But Romo hasn't been the problem with Dallas.
Jon Machota ran some numbers. Romo has been outstanding. The Cowboys recently minted franchise quarterback has met or exceeded expectations so far. 1,523 yards, 13 touchdowns and a 114.5 passer rating to go with a completion percentage above 70%. Any quarterback with these numbers should ...

Of course Johnny Manziel was at Sunday’s Broncos-Cowboys game. Can you blame the guy for scouting the offense he’ll be running in a…
Here I am again taking a look back at another week of fantasy football with a list of what I like to call “Standout Fantasy Performers.” from the NFL Week 5. I’m going to try to be consistent and stick with the same theme. We’re not necessarily looking at which players had the overall best week – although I won’t stray from the subject if necessary – but players who...
I feel really bad for the Washington Redskins this week. The media has been dragging Tony Romo and that guy and the Dallas Cowboys are ready to take over. The Cowboys players are ready to fight for Romo because he fights for them. “In my eyes, Romo is a fighter,” wide receiver Dez Bryant said. “I don’t […]
It might only be the first quarter, but dang Romo is in the zone against the Broncos defense.

I don’t know how you can watch yesterday’s game and blame Tony Romo for that loss. It’s easy to get caught up in the narrative that Romo isn’t clutch, but to blame is for that loss is idiotic and lazy.
Yet to nobody’s surprise the Romo bashers were out in full force. See here and here.
It’s stupid and moronic, yet it continues. There are plenty of fanbases (Houston...
Dallas Cowboys fans might say Tony Romo stinks, but the man actually smells great - if you want the other guy to score.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a scuffle at a local charter school after an employee of the school said he was assaulted by NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, reports The Dallas Morning News. Sanders, a former Dallas Cowboys defensive back, is a co-founder of the Prime Prep Academy. Kevin Jefferson is an employee at the charter school and said he was in a faculty...

What is it with quarterbacks in Texas? Last week Matt Schaub threw a game tying interception against Houston and subsequently crapped the bed in San Francisco on Sunday night. This week it was the NFL’s favourite whipping boy Tony Romo who, despite a career day, managed to revert to form and throw an interception that cost his team a game. A storyline that is all too familiar for...
Jerry Jones knows what he has at quarterback.
Tony Romo may not be Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees, but not many are either. What he is without a doubt is a top-notch quarterback who played the game of his life on Sunday before throwing another late game interception.
Romo is who he is, and I think Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is ok with that.
Jones, who may...

Those who tuned into the Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos were in for a real treat as both Peyton Manning and Tony Romo lit it up, thoroughly carving up the respective opposing defenses all the way to 48-48 tie in the final minutes.
In the end, the up and down career of Tony Romo took another shot as he tried to fit in a pass to tight end Gavin Escobar and was intercepted by Broncos linebacker...
Duffy’s Irish Pub in Washington D.C. will give away free whiskey shots every time Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo throws an interception against the ‘Skins.

Perhaps next week (depending on baseball), we'll have more time to delve into three books of nuggets ... and mini-rants involving second-tier tailbacks who cannot stay healthy.
1. There's nothing new to proclaim about the Broncos and Cowboys ... even if it might have been the greatest outing...
