A lawyer for Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyron Smith said a million dollar figure is unaccounted for after having financial troubles with his family, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News. The lawyer, John Schorsch, told The Dallas Morning News that the money went missing during a time when Smith's finances were being managed by his family and a financial advisor whom Smith has since dropped. "I'm not certain of the amount of money that's gone," Schorsch said. "I would suggest to you that the numbers are in seven digits that need to be accounted for. I don't know how much of that, if any, is a legitimate gift and how much of that is squeezed out of him or how much of that is flat out taken. And I know of the latter two categories it's a bunch." Smith's mother, Frankie Pinkey, told The Dallas Morning News the family has not taken any money from the former first round draft pick that was not intended for them. Smith has a protective order against his mother and stepfather preventing them from contacting him. "I don't know anything about any missing money," Pinkney said. "The money that we did receive from Tyron was all accounted for and everything is in writing, and he's authorized all of it." Pinkey accused Smith's girlfriend, Leigh Costa, of causing the rift between Smith and his family. Pinkney said it was Costa who would not let two of her daughters into Smith's Dallas home last Tuesday which resulted in a police being summoned. "Leigh reported that my daughters were threatening her and they were demanding money," Pinkney said. "My daughters did not make any threats." Follow Keith Whitmire on Twitter: @Keith_Whitmire
