The Steelers have enough talent on the roster to carry them to the playoffs.  They need to keep Batch upright and give him a chance to make plays down the field.  The running game will be key this week.  After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance of .750 for the season. Let's take a look at week 12. Minnesota at Chicago - The Vikings are coming off their bye week to face a Bears team that got destroyed last week by the 49ers.  The Vikings started off hot but lost several games after Ponder started to turn the ball over.  A weeks rest will help AP with his recovery and he'll be fresh to run the ball.  If Ponder can manage the game against the Bears defense the Vikings will win this game. The Bears were embarrassed last week on the national stage.  Everyone got to see why Cutler is always so mad at his offensive line, they're terrible.  Cutler covers up so many iss...

With Charlie Batch at Helm, Steelers Should Still Win

While the Steelers offense certainly will miss Roethlisberger, the Steelers defense as well as a solid run game and a “good enough” passing game should propel them to victory. Oddsmakers currently have the Steelers to have about a 54% chance to win this game. At Sports Tradex, which is a free prediction marketplace that awards prizes to users who perform the best weekly, the...

Antonio Brown Still Hoping To Play Sunday After Pushing Ankle Hard On Friday

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is pushing hard to get on the field Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but the ultimate decision on whether or not he plays will be made by head coach Mike Tomlin following pre game warm-ups. Brown, who suffered a left high ankle sprain against the New York Giants a few weeks ago, was listed as questionable on the Friday injury...

Week 12: The Pittsburgh Steelers @ The Cleveland Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to rebound from a very tough loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens in week 11. Turnovers and a big punt return touchdown cost the Steelers a game they had a very good chance at winning. When it was all said and done the Ravens had squeaked out a 13-10 win and had taken a two game lead on the Steelers in the AFC North division. In week 12 the...

Steelers again turn to ageless Batch

(Eds: Updates throughout) By CHRIS ADAMSKI Associated Press Mike Wallace is in his fourth season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, so the wide receiver is familiar with all this talk about Charlie Batch. Asked if it was at all concerning that the man throwing the ball to him on Sunday will soon be 38 years old, Wallace shrugged. ''He's been old,'' he said of Batch...

Some Steelers Are Down But Don’t Count Them Out Against The Cleveland Browns

It’s game day. The Pittsburgh Steelers go into Cleveland looking like the walking wounded. Big Ben is out and Leftwich too, that leaves 37-year-old Charlie Batch to lead his Steelers team into the Browns stadium to take on their divisional rival Cleveland Browns. For Cleveland fans they are hoping their Browns defense can find a way to stop Batch. The Steelers defense can really...

Ben Roethlisberger remains week-to-week

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is making good progress as he continues to recover from rib and shoulder injuries and is still considered to be week-to-week at this point. With the Steelers so depleted at the quarterback position, Roethlisberger might serve as the emergency quarterback on Sunday. var _CI = _CI || ...

Steelers Injury Report: Troy Polamalu, Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger

Polamalu was able to return to practice for the first time in seven weeks, but he remains doubtful to play Sunday...

Handicapper’s Analysis of Steelers-Browns Matchup

Cliff Notes: Game will be close, but Steelers likely to prevail due to making less mistakes.

Steelers doomed by eight turnovers

Chris Rainey's fumble with 2:25 left - Pittsburgh's seventh turnover - was recovered by Cleveland's Phil Taylor and the Browns handed their hated rivals a potentially devastating loss, 20-14 over the stumbling Steelers on Sunday. Charlie Batch, forced to start at quarterback for Pittsburgh because of injuries to Ben Roethlisberger and Byron Leftwich, was picked off three...

Steelers' Antonio Brown Out Against Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without Antonio Brown in their matchup against the Cleveland Browns.  Brown has been dealing with an ankle injury for the past two games, but he was able to return to practice this week.  It seems that return to practice does not mean he's ready to play. According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Brown will be out, and Plaxico Burress could get...

Steelers defense ready to attack Cleveland

BEREA-- Despite playing against the Steelers third-string quarterback and one of their best defenders, the Browns might have their hands full trying to score points on their own Sunday. With a 6-4 record, the Steelers are currently ranked first in the NFL in defense. They are No. 1 against the pass and No. 4 versus the run. They average giving up 19 points a game, which is fifth...

Steelers Offensive Line Breakdown – Baltimore Ravens – Week 11

Below is the week 11 offensive line breakdown for the Pittsburgh Steelers loss to the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night. I think it was pretty obvious to anyone that watched the game that this was not a great performance over all by the Steelers offensive line. There were several demerits handed out in both the pass and run blocking departments with pass protection being the worst...
