On this day in 2000
Louisiana Tech quarterback Luke McCown set an NCAA freshman record with 72 passing attempts and 80 total plays as the Bulldogs fell at No. 2 Miami, 42-31. McCown completed 42-of-72 passes for 418 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions and also rushed eight times for 26 yards and a score, but Hurricanes running back James Jackson rushed 26 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead Miami. McCown’s 72 pass attempts remain a school record.
Really, what choice did Louisiana Tech have?

Jaguars Jack Del Rio Latest Coach Injured On Sideline
The Jacksonville Jaguars are having some fun at coach Jack Del Rios expense. Jags defense has teeth
The Jacksonville Jaguars defense dominated the Ravens Monday night on national TV. They made the Ravens a one-dimensional team & then they took that dimension away as well. Del Rio and Kubiak Both On the Hot Seat
It's not set in stone, but most feel that both Gary Kubiak and Jack Del Rio have to reach the postseason to keep their jobs. It's more than likely that only one team will qualify, if any, so Sunday's game is extremely important.
