Tennessee Titans running back Shonn Greene underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee coach Mike Munchak said Tuesday night on his weekly radio show. Munchak said Greene had the procedure on Monday. Munchak says Greene will be on a week-to-week basis. A source told ESPN that Greene will likely miss the next two games. Greene was injured during the Titans' opener a 16-9 road win Sept. 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He'd carried four times for 18 yards. The Titans' third back Jackie Battle worked in Greene's place from there against the Steelers and again in Sunday's overtime loss to the Houston Texans. The Titans signed Greene to a three-year $10 million deal in March as a short-yardage change-up back to speedster Chris Johnson.

Titans Bernard Pollard goes off on the NFL, calling it “Flag Football”

Tennessee Titans safety Bernard Pollard said a whole lot after getting fined this week by the NFL, especially after a hit that looked very clean.  Pollard uses his forearms and pushes Andre Johnson who is in BOUNDS out of bounds. “They said I did everything right,” Pollard said of the NFL. “But he was a […]

Coach, QB agree Titans must play better on offense

It's a good chance the Tennessee Titans would be even more frustrated by their offensive struggles if they were winless. Still, things are bad enough with Titans 1-1 going into their home opener. Receiver Kenny Britt sounded off on Twitter, saying this looks like his final season in Tennessee. He said Wednesday that he was just frustrated about the explanation the Titans gave...

Tennessee Titans: 2013 Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#17)

Last week: 19 The Titans were one of the real wild cards for me this season, as they were 8th in opponent’s scoring in 2011 and 32nd in 2012 with essentially the same unit. They had a very impressive week 1 performance in Pittsburgh and after hanging with the Texans and forcing them to overtime in Houston, the Titans definitely look for real as a playoff contender in the weak AFC...

Titans eager to get their home-field edge back

The Tennessee Titans want their home-field advantage back. Defensive coordinator Jerry Gray hopes they can turn back the clock a bit to make it happen. Gray has talked repeatedly about the good old times when opposing offenses thought the Titans were pumping in noise so they couldn't hear. Now the Titans get their first chance Sunday to give their fans something to cheer about...

Bernard Pollard Says NFL Wants ‘Two-Hand Touch’ After He Gets Fined $42,000 for Hit on Andre Johnson

Bernard Pollard says the NFL just wants him to play two-hand touch. That may be true, but if the safety does revert to two-hand touch, he still needs to remember not to use those two hands to hit anyone’s head. The head area appears to be the sticking point in Pollard’s hit on Houston’s Andre Johnson in last Sunday’s game. While Pollard led with his shoulder on the crushing...

Kenny Britt tweets he won’t be returning to Titans

Kenny Britt may be giving the thumbs up to unrestricted free agency. (AP Photo) A year ago, tight end Jared Cook decided to leave the Titans in order to test unrestricted free agency when the team wouldn’t pay him the money he desired. Notes from the all-22 of the Titans offense against the Texans

I made it through a watch of all the Titans' offensive plays against the Texans using the all-22 overhead and end zone angles. Note this was not as in-depth a review as I prefer to do; my concentration here was on making it through the entire game, not being as exhaustive as I like to be. As is normally the case, what I write in this post is a mix of very specific and pretty...

Titans eager to be home after OT loss at Texans

The Tennessee Titans know they only have themselves to blame for not being 2-0 with a win over a division rival to start the season. They were still disappointed Monday after a 30-24 overtime loss in Houston, knowing they had an 8-point lead with less than 5 minutes left and couldn't finish off the win. But the Titans were also looking for the silver lining in the loss. "...
