PULLMAN – Mike Leach continued on Tuesday to look for better production from the offensive line during a lengthy practice, though one of the hogmollies struggled in particular. Over on D, the team saw a d-lineman continue to make his way back and a cornerback return, Mike Leach holds court and more...
REPLICATION. That is what Washington State coach Mike Leach said he is looking for when it comes to translating practice performance into game production during his Tuesday Pac-12 coaches teleconference.
The Cardinals placed tackle Jeremy Bridges on injured reserve Monday with torn ligaments in his thumb, another blow to the team's depth on the offensive line.
Bridges had entered camp as the starter at right tackle before getting beaten out by rookie Bobby Massie, but he had starting experience at both tackle and guard, something the Cardinals now have little of with Brown and...
Kevin Kolb was back at practice on Monday, no longer competing for the starting job for the Ariziona Cardinals but as backup NFL quarterback once again.
The team's workout was its first since coach Ken Whisenhunt announced Friday that John Skelton would be the starter for Sunday's regular-season opener against Seattle.
Kolb says he's disappointed by the move but believes...
The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran free-agent offensive tackle Pat McQuistan to a one-year deal Monday and placed reserve lineman Jeremy Bridges on season-ending injured reserve. McQuistan was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Friday. The six-year veteran played 10 regular-season games for New Orleans last season. Bridges sustained a thumb injury in the Cardinals’ preseason...
Cardinals starting quarterback John Skelton said he and Kevin Kolb have not discussed the now-concluded quarterback battle since coach Ken Whisenhunt named Skelton the starter on Friday. But Kolb did speak to reporters Monday for the first time since receiving the bad news.
One thing I have learned in this league is its full of surprises, Kolb said. You just keep pressing forward...
Since entering the NFL, John Skelton has been the underdog story that won’t go away. But his role has changed since being named the Cardinals starting quarterback to begin the 2012 season.
Tickets to the first game of the Mike Leach era, souvenir, or kindling?
Amieable and I had the unenviable privilege of being in attendance for the maiden flight (or face plant) of Mike Leach’s Wazzu version of the Air Raid. I am sure you are all just dying to read more about one of the most embarrassing season openers I can remember (and that’s saying a lot) so I am going...
THURDSDAY'S 30-6 loss at Brigham Young wasn’t just the debut of the Mike Leach Era. It kicked off the dawning of a new day for Washington State’s radio crew. People wondered whether there would be enough air time for the foursome of Bob Robertson, Bud Nameck, Shawn McWashington and Jessamyn McIntyre. But as the game wore on and the Cougars hopelessly fell out of touch, I wondered this:
PULLMAN – Few people would call the Cougars a “great” team one game into the 2012 season. But safety Deone Bucannon did just that on Monday. Meanwhile, based on what Mike Leach had to say, don’t expect any further displays of demonstrable frustration out on the field -- like what the ESPN cameras captured with Marquess Wilson at the end of the BYU game.
According to Matt Barrows the 49ers are going to sign former Cardinals and Steelers defender Clark Haggans. Haggans was released on Friday and will sign with the team Sunday pending a physical.
Currently the 49ers have only three outside linebackers, so adding Haggans will give them some more depth on the line and give Brooks, Haralson and Aldon Smith rest from time to time.
This week Matt speaks with Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon. They talk about the mindset of NFL players this close to the season; discuss the situation with backup referees; a thought on Cam Newton; a preview of this weekend's matchup of the Seahawks-Cardinals game; and his thoughts on John Skelton being named the starter.
Among his observations:

ARIZONA CARDINALS (25)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 27) - Finished strong. Maybe Patrick Peterson can return six punts for TDs.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 23) - John Skelton winning starting job does not solve quarterback problems.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 24) - Larry Fitzgerald is great WR...
