Heading into the new year, the best of college bowl season is upon us. With the BCS games and other big time matchups kicking off on January 1st, the new year is certain to bring good football. One game everyone will watch is the Rose Bowl, featuring the Big 10 representative Wisconsin Badgers versus the Pac 12 champion Stanford Cardinal. Although many expect Stanford to win this game in dominating fashion, history tells us you just never know. In 2006, the unstoppable USC Trojans, led by Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush, headed into the Rose Bowl as huge favorites against the Vince Young led Longhorns. Defying all odds, Young singlehandedly kept Texas in the game all night, putting the nation in awe with his precision passing and unbelievable running ability. With the National Championship on the line, Young led the Longhorns on an incredible game winning drive, culminating in a touchdown scoring run on 4th and 5 with just 19 seconds on the clock. USC fans, shield your eyes, as this week’s Video of the Week pays homage to that incredible game, individual performance, and incredible run.
