X-rays on the bruised heel of New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram have come back negative, increasing the likelihood the rookie star won't miss any time.Ingram hobbled off the field in the fourth quarter of the Saints' 62-7 trouncing of the Indianapolis Colts and appeared to be
in considerable pain as he went to the locker room for X-rays.
The injury may have deprived Ingram of his first 100-yard game. He had 91 yards on 14 carries before he was hurt.
The former Heisman Trophy winner at Alabama surpassed his previous high of 55 yards this season. He has 85 carries for 329 yards and three scores on the season, and has also caught eight passes for an additional 29 yards.The 5-2 Saints take on the St. Louis Rams next Sunday.
