Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young is a lock to be selected toward the top of the 2020 NFL Draft, so he doesn't need to help his cause at the combine. Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Former Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young is likely locked in as a top-three pick heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

There’s not much more the generational talent needs to do between now and the annual event in Las Vegas come April.

It’s in this that Young has decided he will not work out for teams during this week’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

As Adam Schefter noted, Young will be on hand in Indy for interviews and medical tests. He’ll do drills during Ohio State’s pro day

This is not shocking news. Young could go as high as No. 2 overall to Washington. If the Detroit Lions were to stay at three, he’s a top option for them.

The 6-foot-5 Young recorded 21 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks for the Buckeyes last season.
