Football season is slowly—and might I say again, SLOWLY—approaching. With just 53 days until the TCU Horned Frogs kickoff, I thought it would be fitting to release a new player profile every day until the season begins.
The transfer portal continues to be the bane of college football coaches, and the fans, existence. There are no real “guard rails” in place, no structure, no consideration for the near future, or any future for that matter.
The former four-star prospect and Ole Miss signal caller has one year of eligibility remaining. While much of the spotlight during spring camp has been on the quarterback battle between Vanderbilt transfer Ken Seals and four-star freshman Hauss Hejny, TCU football did lose a signal caller to the transfer portal this past week.
Former Vanderbilt quarterback Ken Seals announced that he will be joining the TCU Horned Frogs next season. The former starter turned backup, and then starter again posted on Twitter his decision following a lengthy time in the portal.
The Horned Frogs secure their first signal caller out of the transfer portal this offseason. TCU saw its quarterback depth tested during the 2023 season, when the Horned Frogs once again lost starting signal caller Chandler Morris to a knee injury.
