After going to his first playoffs, Trae Young is focused on returning to the big party next year. The Atlanta Hawks point guard lived a magical 2020/21 season, taking his team to the postseason for the first time in his career, surprising everybody on their way to the Eastern Conference Finals.

It seems like he really liked the taste of playoff success, as Young revealed he doesn't see the regular season with the same eyes as before. Earlier this week, the young star said regular-season games are boring and he needs to find the motivation to play like it's the playoffs.

Trae had a lot of fun last year, leading his squad to the ECF, demonstrating he can be the leader of a winning team. They ultimately lost to the eventual champions Milwaukee Bucks, but Young wanted to get more. Now, he's ready to return to those stages.

“It’s (the) regular season,” Young said on Thursday night, via WGN Radio. “I’m not going to lie, it’s a lot more boring than the playoffs. You got to find that motivation to play like (it is) the playoffs.”

Just like Chris Paul and the NBA Finals, Young feels he needs more of that experience now that he lived it. The 23-year-old wants to take on that challenge again and proved himself this season. After a terrific campaign with the surprising Hawks, Young, Nate McMillan and co. are keen to confirm they weren't a fluke and will compete in the East for many years to come.

With a young star like Trae, they have big chances to take over the East in the next couple of seasons. The Hawks are a very promising team and we haven't seen their ceiling yet.
