Alex Bregman Undergoing Tests After Being Hit In Face By Foul Ball

The Cubs’ 9-1 victory over the Reds kept Chicago atop the tight NL wild card race, but with a painful and perhaps long-term cost. While in the on-deck circle during a Michael Busch plate appearance in the fourth inning, Alex Bregman was hit in the face by a Busch foul ball, immediately causing Bregman to leave the game.
